If it doesn't, we never fully believed in it anyway. This week, we have Jez Corden to thank because it made for one of our fastest evolving stories mid-show! Starting off as a discussion of whether or not the Gears Of War Collection would ever happen, we quickly learned it is happening and... it won't have multiplayer. Is this a major dealbreaker for Xbox fans? Naturally, the Dukes debate, but the real question after assessing the early Forza Horizon 5 sales data is if it will matter to those playing on other platforms. Forza Horizon 5 is already beating out hot products with full marketing campaigns that are set to hit the market. Most stunning of all is that despite amassing 40+ million players and being available on multiple platforms for years, Forza Horizon 5's early access edition is the lead seller. It says a lot about how Xbox as a platform is viewed versus their content. So, let's dive in!

Is this really where you're at? Saying that Colin is "trying to score points in the culture war" by stating the name of a song is so overtly asinine that I'm surprised you would be interested in long form content for thinking people.

2025-03-07 19:00:45 +0000 UTCHalo 1 anniversary didn’t have remastered multiplayer when it released. Rather, we got multiplayer maps and game modes in Reach. I remember people being incredibly upset about this (me included). If we are being real, though, Gears multiplayer wouldn’t be worth the investment in today’s multiplayer climate. I can see “9000 concurrent players a month after launch” now.

I get it exposure, more money on old games why not, but Gears is the only reason I've ever owned any Xbox consoles. All this means is that more people are pre-ordering Forza this week than WWE or AC Shadows. Not that Forza has more preorders this week than AC Shadows has had since May 2024. If that makes any sense. We just can't assume total pre-orders by this Store data.

2025-03-07 06:54:45 +0000 UTCMan I was pretty t'ed off hearing no MP being the case with the collection.. man I really really wanted a straight up MCC collection style. woulda been cool to play them in Gears 2 and or 3 gameplay, but it could've been difficult with literally every single Gears entry feeling different, Gears 1 is the probably the most different feeling Gears out of all them though. More positively speaking, maybe this is because they want to offer further incentives for picking up Gears E Day with the inclusion of Gears 1-3 remastered map Playlist 🤔
