Hey Puncher Uppers, I'm thrilled that so many people will finally get to experience the criminally underrated Xenoblade Chronicles X when it launches on March 20th. Hearing Gene rave about its brilliance has only amplified my excitement, especially since it's the only Xenoblade game I haven’t played more than once. With that in mind, what’s a game you’d love to see come to the Switch (or Switch 2) that you feel doesn’t get the recognition it deserves? Best, Sean M.

2025-03-03 18:12:46 +0000 UTCHey punchers, After hearing Gene talk about Xenoblade Chronicles X on last week’s episode, I decided to jump back into Xenoblade Chronicles 2 after having shelved it last year, 45 hours in. I have Colin’s mental illness in which I must play prior games in a series, and often in a dev’s history, in order to enjoy the new stuff. I’m currently on chapter 9 out of 10, and while I fully intend to finish it, I hate this game. The gacha system is super annoying, the combat is extremely slow even when you understand it, the narrative is meandering, and I can’t emphasize this enough: the game is far too horny. And I say that as a Danganronpa fan. But I stick with it because I adore the original and hear that the other titles don’t share 2’s faults. So my question is thus: is there a game that you can’t stand in a franchise that you love, and did you stick with it?

On a sidenote, I’ve seen Gene raving about X on Twitter. I didn’t think a Wii U game would be a sigificant upgrade on the Switch. In whatever words you’re allowed at this time, what are your thoughts on that? Also, does it tie into the other games at all or is it completely detached with its own story? Thank you for the hours of high quality entertainment. You guys… are the best.

With Split Fiction releasing this week, it seems like a game that both of you would enjoy. He says he doesn't like playing online or co-op but he broke that for Helldivers 2, so I think he should be a little more receptive of the occasional co-op experience with you. Am I off base? Thanks and a keep-it-up to all three of you! The move to the weekly show has been amazing, and the chemistry of this group keeps getting better with every episode!

I know it won't play the most modern games, but as we enter this weird generational obtuse future, will Nintendo's " future defiant" technology eventually get overrun by the likes of Valve, Microsoft, and Sony because they were arrogant enough to think they had the most market share in the mobile game department?

Does anyone have an experience with this game? Also, I made the mistake of playing as the wrong character. The girl's playthrough feels so much more difficult than the guy's. Have you ever played a game where you felt like you chose the wrong character first?

Balancing both aspects independently is going to allow mainline entries to focus on being RPGs. Competitive will be able to use all the battle mechanics and have actual balance patches. Pokemon Champions is going to be a Fortnite sized money printer for Nintendo. Have a "D'you think I came out the pussy drawing like fucking Mozart?" kind of day!

Simple question: with the Switch 2 release pushed further and further back, are we confident Nintendo will finally solve the supply chain issues they seem to often have at launch and the system will be relatively easy to obtain; or do we think it will be restricted similiar to PS5 launch?id really like to get one if possible. Is this the end of games on disc from Xbox or will sony save us? Let me know your thoughts!! Thanks
