Dear Bucky Brad, Hulk Hoeg, and Capitan Cog, I see everyone is dabbling in Civ VII, which makes me what to get back into that game series. However, I feel the turn base nature of Civ is lacking in comparison to the real time strategy nature of Paradox games. Such as EU IV, CK3, and Stellaris. Has anyone played both the Civ series and a Paradox series? How do these compare? Do you think the turn base Civ is more appealing to the casual strategy fan?

2025-03-02 12:12:32 +0000 UTCDear Brad and summoned guests, The new Monster Hunter has launched with raving reviews and a record audience. However, as someone who has never played any Monster Hunter game before, all I see when I checked videos of gameplay are a lot of whiffs with players completely missing their target. Looks pretty frustrating to me. Could you share some opinion or recommendation on the game specifically tailored to someone who is a complete Monster Hunter neophyte, mostly plays From Soft games (in particular loved Bloodborne and Sekiro) and hated the multi-million seller Witcher 3 due to its boring combats? Thank you for the deep dive on so many varied games every week. What a phenomenal addition to Last Stand.

2025-03-02 11:37:57 +0000 UTCHey how's it going bros. I just wanted to issue a Sort It Out to the Shrek fanatics going nuts over the new character model iterations. It ain't that bad bros. Also, you know who else looks like an Ugly Sonic orge? MY MOM! WOOOOOOO. LATER LADIES!

2025-03-02 11:32:20 +0000 UTCHey guys, I’ve been wanting to get into Yakuza for years, but as a grown-ass man with two kids and a demanding job, gaming time is at a premium, so I’ve been hesitant to start huge games. Always wanting to go for the Plat doesn’t help either. However, I saw that Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii is a fairly short game and saw some people got the plat in around 30 hours. Is this a game worth playing without any context or does it just remove too much of the charm? Thanks! Tom

2025-03-02 09:23:07 +0000 UTCHey Brad, I haven’t had a chance to watch your Pokémon streams but wanted to ask who your starters were for each game. And why is Greninja the best one? Cheers from Compton.

2025-03-02 07:50:05 +0000 UTCHello to the 3 greatest of all time. How have you guys been enjoying Monster Hunter Wilds? I've been having a blast with my pals but I gotta tell ya, I really had to tweak so many options to truly appreciate it. From little things like how the map works, Seikret controls, weapon sheathing defaults and much more. It made the game go from good despite of itself to genuinely really enjoyable for me.

2025-03-02 07:32:18 +0000 UTCThanks to Hoeg for recommending Endless Ocean on Switch. It helped me to relax and reduce anxiety in very stressful times.

2025-03-02 07:23:01 +0000 UTCWhat's up Summoners! Was curious on Hoeg's thoughts on the Switch 2? Are you gonna pick one up day 1 or wait for a premiere title? What Nintendo game would make you drop everything to play it? Appreciate everything you guys do!

2025-03-02 06:24:57 +0000 UTCHas anyone else thought it was odd for the Minecraft movie trailer to use the song "Time to Pretend" by MGMT? (2007). It's a legendary song from the general era of the original Minecraft release, but it's so weird for a kid's movie to use the song and strategically cut out the lyrics about doing heroin, cocaine, f--'ing models, divorcing, finding new models, and dying by choking on your vomit.

2025-03-02 05:12:41 +0000 UTCWhat up Giant Sword Brad, Lord CROC-nito, and First chairman of the Hoeg Clan. I miss when games had sequels that were within a few years of eachother. The Yakuza series has flourished as a long and storied narrative with many sequels, spinoffs and prequels. RGG studios may not have all the bells and whistles but what other series can even challenge their dedication to character moments.

2025-03-02 04:19:32 +0000 UTCYou’re right about the first one, you’re wrong about the last two. The game is kinda ugly and nobody cares about Wonder Woman.

2025-03-02 04:16:28 +0000 UTCBrad, Did our beloved In-N-Out’s announcement last week that they are closing their HQ in Irvine and moving to Tennessee hit close to home? Not to get political, but it seems like from a practical standpoint the snowball of businesses fleeing is now turning into an avalanche. Any growing consideration from you on re-locating? I still miss the beach but I wouldn’t move back. Cheers

2025-03-02 04:13:22 +0000 UTCHi! Sort it out game industry/ game journalist: In Pokémon the same as FIFA or Call of Duty? These games iterate in very small ways, have a micro transactions business and have 0 shame about the first 2 points. I argue that Pokémon makes a ton money from cards, that’s the business that keeps on giving year after year. The games probably peak only during the release year. FIFA has the in-game cards, CoD has the skins. Let’s treat Pokémon with the same disgust and bury their games/reviews deep in the Mariana Trench?

2025-03-02 03:24:07 +0000 UTCMy dudes, While Avowed takes place in an existing game world from Pillars of Eternity, what's an existing world you'd like to see a game take place in, regardless of medium? I could see a game taking place in Brandon Sanderson's Mistborn world being really appealing. Characters draw upon different elements they store inside themselves after ingesting them, the primary movement feature being pushing themselves off of ANY object or pulling them towards themselves. In a game, this kind of kinetic movement and "flight" of a sort could operate similar to how characters control in Gravity Rush but would also bear aspects of game physics as you'd have to very specifically use the environment and objects for movement, perhaps a more advanced version of what Control did with its telekinetics.

2025-03-02 03:08:37 +0000 UTCHey gang! Monster Hunter Wilds is upon us, and I am embarrassed to say that aside from 100 hours in Worlds while waiting for this game...this is my first Monster Hunter. I've seen a lot of complaints about the difficulty being too low, but as a newcomer to the series, it feels like the older games are difficult because they control like ass. I could barely make it through Worlds because of this. Maybe a hot take, but I absolutely love this latest installment and the new direction for the series. Love to hear your thoughts!

2025-03-02 01:25:50 +0000 UTCI have 3 Sort It Outs to address, directed at members of LSM crew. These slanderous comments should appropriately be acknowledged. The first Sort It Out is towards Brad, Chris, and Matty regarding last week’s Summon Sign episode. It is slanderous to say this console generation is a horrible generation, which of course its far from a bad one. Certainly this generation could have been better considering the delays and pivots the industry went through in 2020 alongside Microsoft's continuous rake stepping that MS seems to be purposely choosing to do for some reason. Do Sort It Out is based on all of the great games that have come out for this generation especially when we all know how much Brad loves Elden Ring. The second Sort It Out is towards Chris and Colin for their disparaging remarks about Wonder Woman in the latest episode of Sacred Symbols. They should recognize who Wonder Woman is. Although she may not be as famous as Superman, Spider-Man, or Batman, she is at least the fourth most famous superhero. Colin should at least know she’s very Hercules coded because of him being a huge history buff. Do Sort It Out since we don’t want a Wonder Woman-gate. The third Sort It Out is towards the LSM discord for overreacting on Monster Hunter Wilds over its performance with its fps and “bad” graphics. Let’s drop the PC-esque elitism since we’re better than this. Our own community does need to Sort It Out especially when its the day after for the launch of MH Wilds.

2025-03-02 01:15:07 +0000 UTCHey Signers, After reading the good reviews and learning that they've made it more streamlined, I decided to buy MH Wilds. Well, I'm 8 hours in and I'm sad to say this is one of the very rare times I have buyer's remorse. I feel like the game is so difficult to navigate in every way. The menus are clumsy. Gear stats, elemental types and their weaknesses aren't explained. The different multiplayer options are confusing. It feels like I've been dropped into a save that's 30 hours deep. Even your damn chocobo has a mind of its own. Brad, as a MH veteran, is it just me or is even MH Wilds not beginner-friendly enough for newbies?

2025-03-02 00:10:28 +0000 UTCHello Summoned Duke Cog, Legal Guardian Hoeg, and Brad. How do you all feel about Game Pass lending itself to the disposability of video games? I own all the platforms as a necessity because I work in the industry, and even when games come to Game Pass, there’s a mental block there that makes me want to play on a different platform. I don’t know if it’s the fear of the game being removed from the service, or the feeling that I’m renting rather than buying leading to a lack of personal investment, but even when I’m searching for something to play, I’d rather buy it somewhere than browse all the games available in my Microsoft subscription. Do I just have a buying addiction? Paralyzed by too many choices? I’m curious as to how you all feel about the service. Also, congrats on all your recent success Hoeg, glad to see you’re thriving. You too, Cog. Brad, you’re fine too I guess.

2025-03-02 00:06:56 +0000 UTCA rare keep it up to Ubisoft! I appreciate them going back and finally adding achievements to their older games on Steam. It's just nice to have some kind of progress tracking data available there because what sane man uses the Ubisoft Launcher.

2025-03-01 23:53:31 +0000 UTCI have a closing question for Hoeg that I've wanted to ask him for a long time. My question for revolves around the licensing of brands for things like cars and music in video games. Its my understanding that licensing is the reason some games (Gran Turismo, The Getaway, etc) struggle to be remastered or re-released. My interest was peaked when Namco offered an Ace Combat 5 port on PS4 for pre-ordering Ace Combat 7's digital version. AC5 has licensed planes (from Boeing, Grumman, etc) and music from Puddle of Mud, which are still in the port. Many assumed that the game would be offered a-la-cart after AC7's release but never was, which Namco clarified it wouldn't be once people started asking, but never said why. I'm assuming because its some loophole that negates them from having to pay licensing fees? Basically they gave it away for "free"? Or because it was pre-order only so they knew exactly how much they would have to pay out for the licenses? Could Polyphony Digital "give away" ports of Gran Turismo 1 as a pre-order bonuse for Gran Turismo 8? And what does it mean for Intergalactic with Porsche, Adidas, etc? Will it be difficult to remaster or remake it for future Playstations? Or will they have to change things like Death Stranding did with Monster energy drinks. Thanks for all of the entertainment and any incite.

2025-03-01 23:49:24 +0000 UTCKEEP IT UP BRAD! It was really cool of you to make a Summon Sign squad in MH Wilds and invite me before the squad was full. Can’t wait for the next hunt with the boys! ;P

2025-03-01 23:37:31 +0000 UTCSort it out: Ryu Ga Gotoku Studios. Not only is your photo op challenge already annoying as all hell, but why does those pictures also save to my media folder on my PS5 harddrive? Seriously WTF. In-game photos, taken with the in-game cell phone for missions, should not save to your hard drive. Nobody wants that shit. What am I going to do with a picture of a chair in an alley? Nothing that’s what. So, I had to spend a few minutes deleting photos from Pirates, Infinite Wealth, and Lost Judgement. Sort it out. I love your games. You’re probably my favorite developer. But stop saving unnecessary pictures to my HDD. Photo mode and the share button exists for people who want to save photos. For everyone who plays RGG games. Check your hard drives.

2025-03-01 23:23:13 +0000 UTCHello folks, Currently going through a three year relationship breakup, feeling pretty shit right now so want to find a new game that I can jump in and out of to kill the evenings. Something like Monster Hunter of Final Fantasy XIV online… anyone able to recommend a series worth giving a shot? Cheers, Cormac🇮🇪

2025-03-01 23:19:42 +0000 UTCMy Fellow Summoned Monster Hunters! Is Monster Hunter Wilds too easy? Feels like that was the overall concern common in many reviews. As a vet Brad, do you agree with that? Keep on keeping on!

2025-03-01 23:19:29 +0000 UTCHowdy boys! How about a keep it up for Milestone, the developer behind Monster Jam Showdown. I got it for my kid for Christmas, and it’s got big PS2 energy. Yes, there’s a little paid DLC… but 80% of the characters, deco, etc in the game is locked behind progression & challenges. Very reminiscent of old school game design. I don’t care about monster trucks but nostalgia for games like this got me playing it with my boy every night I get home from work.

2025-03-01 23:19:17 +0000 UTCHello Brad and the mighty consortium of Hoeg & Cog! This week’s Sort It Out goes to WB Games. An absolute laughing stock of a publisher at the whims of corporate fat cat suits that’s fumbled more than a New York Jets quarterback. Killing a storied team in Monolith after someone else’s catastrophic failure? And that after cancelling their IP and forcing them on Wonder Woman? Feels like they’re the epitome of what’s Sort it Out’s all about.
