Oooff, Avatar is the least of the atrocities to have emerged out of the magic the gathering crossover world. I submit to the jury to look at the Jeff Goldblum Jurassic Park cards. Now there's a scene.

Surge!

After 55 minutes Chris mentions the Mini-ha-ha boat ride- that’s actually in Lake George, NY. Not far from my town. Very cool 8)

MATTKBAN

Dear Colin, Stand down on the shirts comment. Not everyone is sardine sized. I'm 6ft 6 inches. The hell am I gonna do with a shmedium tee? XOXO

Nichey Finger

O man I don’t like the sound of that at all. Hosting needs to be done by Colin!

Butthole Surfers

I don't seem to get the question, Colin. What do you mean by asking: "What is enough?", when it is never enough in product development. In every company, the lines must go up. YoY every company's revenue needs to increase, it's so common for me and I do believe everyone who worked in companies. People in the indie team get older. Their financial expectations change. Start families. Want bigger flats. Want better cars. Want to afford better places to spend on holidays. Would like to eat better. It never ends. There is no 'enough'.

What does a company mean by saying 'game X did not meat our expectations'? Well, it means they spent Y amount on it, and were expecting to get Z from it, and the outcome was below Z.

The fact that the '40% topic' was just pretty much shrugged off by Chris and Dustin, tells me everything I need to know, about how deep their understanding of the industry goes. I entirely agree with how stunned Colin was by that number. This is devastating for video games. Our industry was living on gamers playing new games constantly, but for the most part, BUYING NEW STUFF REGULARLY. It is essential to the existence of our hobby - the money needs to flow from one creator to another, continuously spent, turned into new product and the process loops. Now we see that most of the time (and by that money) stops at a fraction of entities. Layoffs, closures, cancelled games, live service push - this is the core of the "problem". What the hell do you mean by: "I need more data on this", "Is Gran Turismo part of it?" ?! Christ sake.

In Poland new games are usually more expensive in the PS Store vs physical releases although nothing as dramatic as 40% brought up during the show. One more item - Cyberpunk 2077 had to be first person due to performance issues. I don't believe the Team at CDP Red would manage to get it into a launchable state with 3rd person camera.

I use to be a massive magic the gathering fan I was even playing a tournaments in the competitive field. After all of the cross overs started flooding the game and Wizards of the Coast Refered to its own sets as "Magic IP" sets during a road map on what's coming next I decided to move on from the game I once loved as it had become cross over the card game. A damn shame

Dylan Brittain

I used to love that Podcast but literally every episode lately is just them talking shit about other people with different opinions. They just find a person and call them Grifters and idiots for an hour and a half. That's the whole show. It's very California scumbag love the smell of your own farts vibes which is a shame because Sween and Chris are hilarious together and always have been.

Seth

He hosts his own show, the snark tank. I tried to give it a watch but his co hosts on that show aren't my cup of tea.

Yalingo

The nemesis system was so dope. You could kill an orc with fire and he'd come back with a burnt face and extra pissed or cut off there arm and they'd return with a metal arm and ambush you. One orc I met only spoke with song lyrics I always spared him because I looked forward to his encounters

Walker Simmons

Is chris partial hosting new? First time I’ve heard him do it and it is fantastic. I love hearing his takes and I think he knocked this out of the park leading the convo here.

Max Davis

Lots of games here in Canada are more expensive digitally than if you buy physically on launch. It seems like its mostly Japanese games that do this shit. The standard price for a game is 89.99 Canadian. Right now FF7 Rebirth is 93.49 digitally. Even though its not much its the principal of it. I'm going to buy the cheaper, more versatile and re-sellable version of the game every time.

Flint Dibble and the Dibble singers

I would’ve gone with “Moron Bros” from NOFX

Bruce The Genetic Jackhammer Rando

Hearing the name Djarum brings me back. I must've cut my life expectancy by half chain-smoking that shit.
