2025-02-04 17:41:02 +0000 UTCMatty's point on the actual impact on the creators, human beings, which are the first having to suffer from bad management decisions of being allocated to unfitting or stupid projects, can't be repeated often enough I feel. I've never heard anyone talking about how they must feel, ever. Truly tastefully and intelligently creative people are game devs and console makers' most precious resource. Treat them accordingly. Don't waste years of their lives on silly projects and put them to work at a project where they can excell.

2025-02-02 06:17:39 +0000 UTCNo XBOX without a Box MS' inconsistent vision and messaging and lack of commitment in regards to the XBOX console, which is the basis for the brand, will put them in a position of having to logically cancel the brand in the end. MS will continue to shovel money by the boat loads from publishing games but the brand XBOX will be completely destroyed without a box anyone is willing to commit to at the top of the company. I like PS and XBOX for different reasons and both appeal to me, but ever since they came out with the "everything is an XBOX" nonsense I lost the last bit of faith I had in them and stopped purchasing games for the ecosystem. I just can't deal with their flip flopping silliness anymore.

Here's why some would still prefer Xbox or to still use one Xboxs VP of next gen has stated plans to combine the best of windows and Xbox for Current windows PCs ad well as next gen hardware for Xbox Ease of use of an Xbox/console, access to PC/windows apps and software, native access to a premium top tier sub service w/ loads of day1 releases at an impressive rate, access to steam library (aka games that miss xbox like PS games), benefits and features of the Xbox/MS ecosystem like play anywhere - cross buy, cross play, cross save, cross progression, playing the games across console, PC, handheld, and the cloud, acess to multiple stores fronts, more customized experience, hardware some may preferr (controller) ...notice how I didn't say anything about exclusive games 🤔

2025-02-02 02:35:44 +0000 UTCThe fact that xbox offers a refund for your gamepass sub when you cancel instead of keeping the money and just letting you have the service for the 30 day window then deactivating it is wild. I also played hell blade and indiana jones for free, and they give me no reason to not just keep on doing this.

Game Pass Ultimate, Ubisoft+ day one, free cloud saves, ability to use the Xbox One controller, 6 game refunds a year, quick resume, play anywhere, cloud streaming, etc. There's literally so many positives that I get on Xbox that while I own a PlayStation 5 Pro, unless the game is exclusive, there's really no reason for me to play on PlayStation 5 because there's nothing there for me the vast majority of the time. But to each their own.
