As such, Colin, Dustin, and Chris are joined by Matty and Cog, and the approach this week is twofold. For starters, let's get into Xbox's ever-evolving market situation, its amazing software sales accompanying precipitously-declining hardware numbers. What's the future hold? Then, speaking of the future, it's time to then delve into PlayStation's games-as-a-service meltdown, and how Sony may (or may not) be able to pull-up before it smashes the entire operation into the side of a mountain. Will it ever find success in such a vital sector?

Why is there no big push that explains GamePass or its value most people don’t know it exists & that is on purpose. They could have a Super Bowl commercial Sunday but they never do. There is no GamePass on COD marketing.

Also horizon has an average metacritic score of 89 , gaming culture likes it just fine. Again that’s just him not being able to see past the echoe chamber he is in. There are whole YouTube communities dedicated just to the lore of the series lmao.

You’re sitting there saying there is no benefit like the Xbox console isn’t the only console you can play all of those games day 1 natively included in the subscription. While on PS5 you are going to pay. There is a huge value there. For those of us that prefer gaming on our comfy sofas and chairs and not sitting at a desk there is a reason to buy the console. This gen I have played a ton of games on GamePass some of which I would have never tried until they were in deep discount. Some of which I would’ve paid 70.00 for. Because games are your job you completely discount this. Yes it’s going be a smaller use case & it means nothing to a casual but there is a common sense reason. Having listened further Dustin touches on this and wonders why despite the value are people not going to Xbox. The main reason for this is because they don’t market it. That’s on purpose too. They don’t actually want everyone to know you can go to GamePass to get these games like COD if people will pay for them. They are right now playing both sides. They have never went all in on marketing GamePass or even Xbox in years.

They cant just sell another black box it will be a disaster. Imagine being able to build your own console in the design lab like they do controllers. It will bridge the gap between traditional console gaming and a PC gaming with a completely flexible hardware approach without all the technical hassle

So that means NOBODY likes those games or isn’t buying them ? That’s just stupid logic man it doesn’t make sense. At the end of the day if people don’t want things they don’t get made again because they don’t sell…people say till they blue in the face how much COD sucks but you get one every year. I highly doubt any consumers NEED their games to have the cutting edge visual and audio tech anymore. Games don’t need to be anything more than what they were in 2018-2020.

The bicep is a very small muscle that is meant to be used in conjunction with your back muscles to pull. Isolating it in a bicep curl will likely lead to some kind of tendonitis

I think Colin puts way to much stock into really loud horizon haters like jaffe / twitter. I've never heard anyone talking about how they must feel, ever. Truly tastefully and intelligently creative people are game devs and console makers' most precious resource. Treat them accordingly. Don't waste years of their lives on silly projects and put them to work at a project where they can excell.

MS will continue to shovel money by the boat loads from publishing games but the brand XBOX will be completely destroyed without a box anyone is willing to commit to at the top of the company. I like PS and XBOX for different reasons and both appeal to me, but ever since they came out with the "everything is an XBOX" nonsense I lost the last bit of faith I had in them and stopped purchasing games for the ecosystem. I just can't deal with their flip flopping silliness anymore.

Here's why some would still prefer Xbox or to still use one Xboxs VP of next gen has stated plans to combine the best of windows and Xbox for Current windows PCs ad well as next gen hardware for Xbox Ease of use of an Xbox/console, access to PC/windows apps and software, native access to a premium top tier sub service w/ loads of day1 releases, access to steam library (aka games that miss xbox), benefits and features of the Xbox/MS ecosystem like play anywhere - cross buy, cross play, cross save, cross progression, playing the games across console, PC, handheld, and the cloud, acess to multiple stores fronts, more customized experience, hardware some may preferr (controller) ...notice how I didn't say anything about exclusive games 🤔
