After managing to fund games like Kunitsu-Gami, Ninja Gaiden 4, and reportedly picking up the phone to talk about Ori 3, Xbox appears to be driving all of their capital into making the unlikely games actually exist. If Xbox's future as a third party publisher is looking like this, it means that excellent games are enroute and that is a win for everyone. Do the Dukes agree?! Perhaps. You're going to have to listen to find out, obviously. Nerd.

As for Fallout since the first game in the begining there has been fairly solidly formed arguments for progressive sentiments in the writing. Pillars of Eternity 2 for example is pretty crystal clear on how Colonialism can negatively effect a local populous. Art often is political because it emulates real life which is okay, everything in reality has a political aspect to it.

Seems like a bit of a surface level reading because Bioshock infinite is also anti racism and anti discrimination but I would not say that that game is Progressive. Could also be a fallout type deal where people both left and right read into it what they want, and therefore both sides see the game as supporting their side

You can’t purchase the game then see 8 things you really hate about it. We live in a time where developers are out on social media actively bashing gamers and saying they hope their game pisses people off with stuff like pronouns and genders. With very little exception, at the very very least, I will not buy a game new if they use Type A and Type B over Male and Female. Doing that is antithetical to any type of reality and a purely political/ideologically forced view of the world that almost zero people apply to their lives or get offended by. Even the people they are targeting don’t believe that crap. The very few that do, why would you want to appeal to 0.00000000000001% over everyone else and biological reality. Games journalists and people in the industry itself need to stop being so antagonist and work on actually courting gamers again. When that happens in an authentic way, gamers will come around. It’s going to take a lot of work though as it’s been over a decade since they have been openly hating on the crowd they are supposed to be presenting their work to.
