If you like those weapon-slingin' teenaged reptiles then you'll LOVE this episode's lineup! The first to wield his topic this week, Matty would like to converse with his bros about that elusive frame of mind known as 'the flow state'. What are the activities and specific talents that allow us to slip into a state of total focus, concentration and contentment. Next, driven by a cold Philadelphia winter, Dagan would like to lead his pals in a daydreaming session about fantasy vacations. In our respective opinions, what is the ideal getaway and which destinations do we feel most compelled to cross off our bucket lists. Lord Cognito strikes last, emerging from the shadows with a discussion about ninjas. These mysterious black-clad warriors became a pop culture phenomenon decades ago through TV, video games and comics, so why are we still so fascinated with everything about them? Dagan, I graduated from the University of Miami in 2023 and let me tell you it’s not worth it. Granted, I, and many students, don’t pay full price. UM is extremely gracious with financial aid. The education is good but nothing out of the ordinary. Miami’s public university, FIU, has a higher education rating than UM. The primary benefit of being a ‘Cane is the network. It’s one of the wealthiest schools in the US; kids driving around in Porches and whatnot. Make of that what you will. Its value is entirely dependent on what your daughter wants to do. The business school, law school, medical school are great. The Frost School of Music is particularly renowned. Know that the school is hugely party oriented and very much filled with stereotypical meathead college students straight out of an early 00s comedy. Have heard some of the most outlandish rich people shit during my time there. But there are plenty of good and great folk as well, and value to be extracted. I would just avoid letting the glistening buildings and palm trees cloud judgment, especially given the price. PS, UM isn’t in South Beach. It’s in Coral Gables, which is in South Miami. It’s a great area, but not too close to South Beach haha. Amenities are great though.

I know it sounds like a pansy injury but it can be seriously painful, especially for a drummer! It’s an overuse injury, it takes forever to get better. See a doctor immediately and listen to what they say, but in my experience all that seems to help is rest, ice, massage and compression.

Both teams have a very fierce and quite hostile rivalry. The Tigers have the most fans in the entirety of Japan but are not that good allegedly. We are also very notorious for having the worst and most obnoxious fans in all of Japan. Also the only team with the fans that riot in the streets of Osaka. I would like to suggest looking up “the curse of colonel sanders” if you ever have the time to get an insight on how notorious the Hanshin Tiger’s fans are.

For me it was never about episode length, or having more topics/hosts for the sake of it. I just love the Colin and Dagan duo, especially since Knockback is gone. Love the whole crew!
