Let me be blunt, I don't like Jaffe. I don't like his jokes, his style or politics. But I do respect him as a person and his right to be himself. Most of all, I respect Colin for his integrity and standing by his friends. I'd never even think to cancel my Patreon subscription over a single recurring guest that I don't like or can't connect with. To whom it may concern, learn to "live and let live" and respect who you don't like, and to be able to tolerate a little discomfort every now and then.

2025-02-02 02:14:11 +0000 UTCWhile I own both, I prefer Xbox and regarding why someone would buy an Xbox Series X over PlayStation is simple for me. I get way more benefits and positives as an Xbox consumer. Game Pass Ultimate, Free Cloud Saves, Ability to use my Xbox One controller which is my primary controller, Six Refunds a Year, Ubisoft+ including day one games, discounts as a GPU subscriber, third party games day one on GPU. Most of all is their roadmap. 17 announced games, 13 of which is day one for me. Why would I buy them on PlayStation and even more so if it's not day one when I don't have to? On the PlayStation side, if you subtract exclusivity, what does Sony have to offer consumers that's of any benefit? Seriously, I personally don't see anything at all once you get past the exclusivity. If anything, I think it's more about bragging rights and being associated with the bigger and more popular brand than it is about the games because if it's truly about the games, Xbox is simply the better place to play games console wise especially if you want to play the first party games. This is just for me personally. To each their own.

I’d like to put my vote in for an unlikely, but very welcome, collaboration… a ‘GI Joe Brainstorm Session’, where they go down the lineup of GI Joe characters and identify key components of character story as well as potential game mechanics. Maybe a tier breakdown, in the beginning, to shave off the unnecessary characters, before you start getting in the weeds. And pop up images of the characters, as you discuss. A LOT of work, but a fascinating conversation would come from it, no doubt.

2025-01-18 13:06:31 +0000 UTCFrom a pc perspective at least, it is very clear why the dead space remake failed. Ea shit out that game to die without any post launch support. The game received exactly 1 patch, which fixed a bug leaving variable rate shading engaged regardless of toggling it on or off. It was and continues to be an absolutely mess, and sadly that is the ea mo. Sure it wasn't as bad on consoles, but some of the issues are also evident there, again 1 patch for the same thing. Imo the game doesn't even deserve the 1.however million sales it got.

I don't always agree with either of you, especially Colin's Xbox SLANDER - but that's not the point 😅 Colin is THE GUY to bring sanity back into this "woke and anti-woke",gaming discourse. And Jaffe, he provides an amount of wild and chaotic flavor of perspective and experience, matched by no other except our lord and savior, no, not Jesus Christ himself, rather Guy Fieri from the Food Network - With all his constant Fieri, delivering world class ... well, American class, along with appropriately priced tickets, and reasonable seating to flavortown USA. Jaffe is obviously a distant second, but 2nd in the flavor department, nonetheless. That's why I pledge my continued support for both of you. I expect to see you both in church on Sunday, preaching along to Guy Fieri, our lord and savior.

You talk about your planned “code of conduct” and how you would not have people like Melonie Mac back on the show which is totally understandable. However, the same rational should be applied to Jaffe as well. The controversy on why he is “hated” is not about anything you discussed on the show in my opinion. It is about Jaffe’s behavior towards other industry YouTubers, calling them “Grifters” and his sexiest, misogynistic attack towards Vara Dark. He is acting like a gatekeeper of gaming journalism. This is exactly what was done to you and what you’ve fought against since starting LSM. I respect what you’re trying to do by interviewing opposing views in the industry and I agree with it. The audience here doesn’t want an echo chamber. But those like Jaffe that are using ad hominem attacks against other personalities in the industry need to be shouted down. The side that he puts out on his show is drastically different than he presents here. I’m seriously considering “voting with my wallet” and dropping my Patreon.

The mix of guests with diverse ideas and opinions is why I stay subbed to this network. Similarly, the variety is probably why people love 4-person constellation (yes, it does make a difference).
