I appreciate Micah’s tip, on recommending the audience to be a jerk, at times, to keep the story interesting. When I am presented with dialog tree options, that have an impact on later game, I tend to make decisions as myself (a nice wholesome dude). Thanks for the warning. 🫡

2025-01-03 19:22:19 +0000 UTCIt's still Metroid: Dread; Jaffe still proclaims it as his annual GOTY year after year :) But in all seriousness, he said on Twitter (not calling it "X" 🤣) that it was Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, aside from a few complaints he had regarding its pacing. He said it should've been shorter. This adds to the presumption that Jaffe doesn't like long games - which is valid. I remember him telling John Garvin (writer of Days Gone) that Days Gone was way too long despite his enjoyment of the game.

2024-12-31 23:46:21 +0000 UTCColin may be right about a Sony bias, with Astro Bot winning game of the year at The Game Awards. 🤷♂️ I don’t think so, personally. Nintendo gets a bias for ‘family game’ on a yearly basis, imo. I think if it was anything more than a bias, it was critics being pleased to see polished ‘classic’ platformers, outside the Big N (and wanted to reward it). … I wish Crash 4 got a sliver of Astro Bot’s praise, but oh well. 😃

He stepped up big time when Dustin was out, he pushes himself to make the best content he can and does stuff like this, 7 hour podcast.. Kudos to LSM for picking him up.
