It surprises me that nobody has yet questioned the so-called expertise of Hoeg. He is an M&A lawyer according to Colin yet he thinks that the price for Kadokawa is going to be $10 billion? That's laughable. On his Twitter he is even saying 15-20 billion and doubles down on it after people pointed out the market cap is around $4 billion, and that is after the share price rose due to acquisition rumours. A typical premium over pre-acquisition rumour share price is 30-50%. Again, it is bizarre that an M&A lawyer does not know this basic fact. If he really thinks Kadokawa is going to go for 10, 15, 20 billion USD then he should be selling every asset he has and load up Kadokawa shares because you're looking at the best arbitrage opportunity of your life, lmao

I think the sales for horizon misrepresent the way people feel about the franchise. The first horizon was a huge new ip for first party and it was a good game, the second one had amazing graphics and was still good, it was a system seller. But these sales don't mean there's love for the game, and sony miscalculated the weight of the franchise. I have no doubt that a VR gow or uncharted would be more popular than a VR horizon, no one cares about horizon that much.

thanks for the insight! I've seen some hilarious comments here and on YouTube. Someone suggested that I see a bunch of illegal things and turn a blind eye, yet somehow take an interest in cheating, and another person said that I was probably interested in the woman, hence why i wanted to say something. The last political constellation proved Jaffe will always get hate. It was an episode in which he let other people talk and had no insulting all republicans moments. But he still gets treated terribly in the comments. People just need to admit they don't like his outspokenness about his politics and move on. New Linkin Park record is almost as good as Hybrid Theory and easily as good as Meteora plus it’s better than anything else they did since. I agree that they should’ve just changed the band name and if they were called From Zero, that would be pretty cool as they could still cover old LP but I think this was a surprising great record and the “meh” for the music just makes no sense to me. I personally don’t like the political and religious controversy that surrounds Emily but the album is a banger.

I was never really interested in the portal - it seems like a nice bit of kit but not something I had a use case for - but the news of the improvements this week just so happened to coincide with my local store having limited new stock of the 30th anniversary addition. So I impulsively bit the bullet there and ordered one Wednesday evening, and if was delivered Thursday morning. It feels really good to play - I had a steam deck already which is a really great bit of tech, but I mostly use that for indies, emulation, and other games I don't get on Playstation. The Dualsense shape just feels good when streaming PS5 games. Also the cloud streaming sounds like a really nice addition for travelling and just trying random games on a whim. As luck would have it, I had let my PS Plus run out a few months ago in anticipation of a Black Friday sale - I got a year of Premium earlier today for like €106, not too bad in my opinion, and the value of that tier only increases now with this portal feature, and hopefully they continue to add good classics to the Premium tier

Glad Colin arrived at the conclusion I was hoping—that the different opinions and levels of preparedness, the “diversity” if you will, of the hosts is one of the things that makes Sacred Symbols the best Playstation podcast. As for my assertion that Chris gets the most hate besides Jaffe, I meant that between here and the subreddit, there’s usually a sentiment going around that “Chris doesn’t even hardly play games” and “What does he even do all day?” and it comes across as jealousy to me. Like random listeners think they could jump in and replace him. That’s just the vibe I get, though. I will say that Colin is actually probably the top of my list, though. Purely from political opinions, but I’ve learned to look past all that. People are complex! Edit: Should have been more specific in saying criticism from within the LSM fanbase.
