He implemented a Muslim travel ban in the first year of his administration in 2017 before the courts shut it down. You don't think any of that is racist? You must be a fool. He isn't in jail yet because the judge delayed the sentencing in the case where he was convicted of 34 felonies until after the election. Not to mention the other federal cases and the election interference case in Georgia which are still underway. Donny still stands a very good chance of going to jail if convicted on any of those cases. The only candidate to deny democracy was Trump when he refused to accept the results of the 2020 election, and he still claims to this day that the election was stolen from him without any evidence to back it up. He tried to get his Vice President to not certify the election results on January 6. He incited a riot of his supporters to storm the Capitol and attempt to interrupt the certification of those election results. Those same supporters were chanting to hang the Vice President for not doing what Trump wanted him to do. This is what fascist dictators do.I think you need to do educate yourself on reality and what actually happened. You are being lied too and you don't have your facts straight.

Some people can’t afford groceries for their kids because inflation has crushed people over this entire administration. They are also worried about WW3 considering none of these major conflicts were popping off during Trump’s first term. If you go outside and interact with human beings in the U.S. you interact with Trump supporters everyday. Many of which you probably have absolutely no clue about who they vote for and many of which you probably like or get a long with. Is Colin supposed to fire good hardworking people over who they vote for? Disregard that being illegal he clearly hires people based on their ability/intelligence and not on their identity evidenced by the diversity which LSM has. I get it because I can’t rationalize the fact that people still vote for politicians who created NAFTA which sold out my uncles and father’s jobs. I can’t rationalize people who continually vote for warmongers in both parties who orchestrated the Iraq and Afghanistan wars. As a former Bernie supporter in 2016 I can’t stand Kamala Harris. She is a nominee for President without having gotten a single primary vote in this cycle. Or a single primary vote in 2019/2020 when she was running for the nomination. Bernie took on the Clinton establishment and nearly won (and should have without super delegates). Kamala has continually failed upward and I think the failure of this administration will be worse with her at the head. I hope not. But I have those fears as a small business owner. I have fears that we will continue to fund the Ukraine war and more people will get slaughtered in an un winnable war. I fear that she doesn’t have the respect or the backbone to get the Gaza war stopped. Guess what? I don’t want any LSM Kamala voters fired. And I am not staggered that he has Kamala voters working for LSM. I do not care. I do not need to rationalize their vote. They can rationalize it to themselves and that’s good enough. Life will go on. The corporate media has people so wrapped up into this. Our founding fathers were smart enough to set up this country in a way that even if Donald Trump was some genius fascist dictator (he is also the dumbest person in the world to his haters which I always find that dichotomy hilarious) he will leave office at the end of his term. Colin mentioning his Ron Paul sign at IGN reminded me that someone did actually have a problem with it who was there at the time. I used to be a huge fan of the Rebel FM podcast and one the hosts, Arthur Gies, I clearly remember mentioning some one having a Ron Paul sign at the office and proceeded to say not very nice things about it. This was around when Trump first ran for office and like many, it must have broken Arthur's brain to were the constant political talk and the other side is evil ramblings ran me off the show. It was a shame since I really did love the podcast and had been there since episode 1 when 1up.com folded.

Great episode gentlemen. That reddit post you talked about on this podcast is the exact reason I left the KF community in 2020. Even though I didn't vote in 2020, I felt very ostracized and unwelcome by them and their community. Of course there are some very loving and kind people apart of the best friends, but there are a large vocal section that act as culture warriors who continue to push good people away. It turns out I am grateful to be out of that community, but it's just a sad thing to know its an ongoing issue. Colin, I truly appreciate your stance for this company. I feel welcome and comfortable. Although none of us share exact views on anything, we all seem to bond on what makes us human, what makes us laugh and of course our love of video games and this industry. Just wanted to say thank you for this particular episode. As an outsider (I'm 40y old and from Portugal), I've tried all my life to develop my English, but in the last like 5+ y in particular I've felt an increasing downtrend in intelligence in every media around the world, but none so much as what's going on in the USA, from my perspective. We need better and informed, rational journalism. 85% of the quick-reaction discourse on social media about anything is based on logical fallacies or other incongruous arguments that would fall apart if anybody gave some time to actually thinking about it. I urge LSM and Colin, in particular, to keep his level head and do the effort to not get affected by the craziness and keep being fair and intelligent. I've watched HBO's "The Newsroom" show and although I suspect it probably was romanticized to some extent, I found myself, whilst watching, so pleased with the idea of journalists striving to do their job to the best and their abilities, hoping to fight against the deluge of bad news, mistaken facts, ignorant perspectives, misguided aims... It's hard to be a human being striving for being rationally informed and rightly thinking - we need good help, not agents compounding the problem. Also: Mr Gene Park, I remember your video when Stadia was introduced where you were pressing the space bar on Destiny 2 and showing the noticeable like 1-2 seconds of lag before the jump showed on screen. This is way before LSM-Gene and I was so happily surprised to remember that when your name came up as a new member of LSM - keep it up! (as Brad would say) Am I the only one remembering this kind of things about the people we get our news / "content" from? I remember Colin from way before Kind of Funny and what really tuned me on to him was the news reporting and being good analysing and speaking about the gaming news. He left a 20 year old son coming into manhood looking for guidance from his father and a wife that lost her home because she loved him and was her whole life and no cost was to much for the miracle he would of needed to survive this. I stood by his side though this all because he would do the same if the shoe was on the other point. Btw I am not asking for your pity, I bring this up because it wouldn’t matter what he believed or who he was, I was just grateful to have him in my life and am grateful for the 2 beautiful grandchildren from my amazing children that my loving wife gave me. Great episode! I will say that I do find the timing of Bezos’ op-ed suspect. It seems like there could be all kinds of motivations. Maybe it’s self-interested, but maybe he really is sincere about wanting to improve how news media is viewed. However, optically, even if you are sincere in that intent, you do seem to legitimize Trump’s claim that the news media is corrupt. At least, that’s how I can see it being spun. (btw I think his “corrupt” line is really just when he doesn’t like something they reported, regardless of if it’s provably true). As someone in the UK with friends all across Europe the prospect of a Trump win is terrifying. It could very well lead to further war in Europe. And then there’s the biggest issue which are his plans to scrap climate regulations. If he cares so much about immigration, why is is planning on scrapping these which will inevitably lead to even further acceleration of climate change. The left and right are often both incredibly dismissive and hateful of one another, of different lifestyles and opinions. I always felt I'm a true classical Liberal but in my country I'd be called a Nazi as well for my political opinions, as centered as I feel they are.
