“Let’s take a look around,” said Lucas, “see who runs this freak show.”
Joshua didn’t understand it. He should be creeped out by this ancient deserted place, but he wasn’t. Exactly the opposite. He couldn’t wait to see what lay beyond the weathered wooden doors. Maybe it had something to do with the vague, shadowy memories of a dream he once had, now all but forgotten.
Joshua followed Lucas up to the main doors, doors that looked liked they’d been shut for a thousand years, and pulled.
Surprisingly, they opened easily.
