He went with him to a gathering like that to support him and since he wasn't gay himself he was turned away like a turd because he wasn't from their community. A fine example of tolerance, isn’t it? When we are not from their community and we want to be open and reach out to them as a sign of support, we literally get turned away and the door slammed in our faces. This is not how we will arrive at a world of tolerance and equality.

Love is important, so use it and reach out to your fathers, uncles, grandpas, brothers and male friends and check in with them. Tell them you love them and that you’re thinking about them and want them to know it’ll all be okay and to stay strong.
