And as you can imagine, sexist and racist trolls began to reveal themselves, challenging the decision along with dark-skinned characters in the anime in general. So allow me to explain both why Annette is black in Castlevania: Nocturne, and why the changes associated with this race swapped version of her character makes her better than the main character of the show, Richter Belmont.

I can honestly say that before watching this video, there was zero interest on my part in watching anything Castlevania-related. The way you expressed this character's reinvention definitely captured my interest. Plus her Haitian heritage definitely made me a bit more intrigued since that's where my folks are from.
