Queen Charlotte E6 - Crown Jewels [Reaction]
Added 2025-02-20 17:31:31 +0000 UTCHere we are my Bridgerton Baddies. It is the finale of Queen Charlotte. I can't believe we've come to the conclusion of this incredible 6 episode journey.
I'm truly in awe at the acting, story telling, writing, costumes, design and score of this wonderful show. Every actor is exquisite and I loved every second of this show.
Bring the tissues for this one because the final 10 minutes (as you know) are just pure and utter heartbreak. Wow. I've never witnessed such a beautiful love story. For me, this show is even better than S1 and S2 of Bridgerton, which is saying a lot!!!
Thanks so much for joining me on this journey, we will soon be starting S3 of Bridgerton and then, we are finally all caught up!
Much love,
Niall xo

2025-03-09 16:33:34 +0000 UTCWatching the last 5 minutes of this hit me like a ton of bricks. It’s the most incredibly perfect final scene. I cry at EVERYTHING but I haven’t SOBBED at anything so hard since I watched the notebook the first time like 12 years ago. It’s so overwhelmingly touching and heartbreaking. The flashbacks to their younger selves really wrecked me entirely. The story of him accepting himself because she loves him so steadfastly is just unbelievably beautiful. It’s the perfect scene. Literally perfect. I genuinely have a meltdown every time I watch it.

2025-03-06 02:41:51 +0000 UTCSo excited to see you react to Season 3. Nothing comes close to Queen Charlotte, but I do think season 3 is the best so far for main Bridgeton, and there's some good, very rewarding tie-ins that make Queen Charlotte even more rewarding.

2025-03-01 20:23:07 +0000 UTCI binge-watched the reactions to Bridgerton and Queen Charlotte the past week. Could fill a kitchen bin with tissues! 🤧 I cry at everything, too. Need to replenish my tissues stock for S3.

2025-03-01 19:49:03 +0000 UTCAlthough this is fiction inspired from fact, there are some things that ring true: George and Charlotte were married 57 years; they had 15 children; by all accounts they had a happy and loving marriage for the first 25 years until his illness took over; a quote "Sure never was anyone to be more pitied than her Majesty, as no couple had ever been happier than they were before this greatest of misfortunes" -Mrs Philip Lybbe Poyse, 1788. Charlotte died in late 1818, George a little over a year later. Windsor Castle's cobblestone courtyards were covered with straw so the King would not hear the procession, although by that time, with his illness and dementia, he probably had no idea of her or that she had died. The baby that Prince Edward and Victoria told Charlotte about in the final scenes became Queen Victoria.

2025-02-27 19:28:13 +0000 UTCDarlin’, I have been waiting for this reaction for a long time, and you did not disappoint. I sobbed the first time I watched, especially the ending, and teared up every other time I watched. But let me tell you, you had me ugly sobbing right along with you. That’s why I love your content so much. Your emotion is so contagious. You’re amazing Niall!!!

2025-02-26 02:41:10 +0000 UTCThe instrumental that plays when charlotte & george dance was Nobody Gets Me by Sza 🥹 I almost cried again

2025-02-25 19:30:15 +0000 UTCthis whole episode brings out the tears. first brimsley and reynolds dancing to i will always love you, and then cutting to brimsley ALONE UGH 😭 then the scene with charlotte and her son, that gets me because he seems so unsure to hug his mum back, like he hasn't had this in a long while (or ever). then the ending, tears. it will always bring me to tears 😭 showing that they still see each other as their younger selfs UGHHH 😭 queen charlotte is probably the best bridgerton season, the whole thing is just so beautiful 💕 (i personally think it has the best declaration of love too, that scene last episode is just 🤌)

2025-02-25 08:55:41 +0000 UTCI knew the end would wreck you and I was crying all over again with you! I agree, it’s better than season 1 and 2 of Bridgerton in just 6 episodes. I really want to know what happened to Reynolds (Rimbly) though! They don’t give us any closure with him.

2025-02-22 23:13:32 +0000 UTCDon’t worry I was crying right along with you! This episode is so lovely 🥹 I love how this shows everyone deserves love 💕 I also love how George corrects charlotte with “our line” he truly sees her for her and loves her. And I always cry the min she walks towards the bed so she can have a conversation with farmer George. It’s beautiful 🥹 I’m so glad you watched this it’s such a beautiful show

2025-02-22 13:37:22 +0000 UTCThere’s a theory that Queen Charlotte is dressed the way she is instead of wearing high fashion, regency era clothing like every other character is because she’s dressed like how she was when we was young so that George will always remember her and know her and ugh… it makes me sob every time

2025-02-22 08:18:58 +0000 UTCI am with you on Queen Charlotte being a 10/10 and since the other 2 seasons, as much as I loved them - especially season 2 - Queen Charlotte definitely hit differently ❤️

2025-02-22 04:29:22 +0000 UTCThis season is the one that reminds ME that I’m worthy of love. And that there is someone out there who will love me despite my “‘deformities.” Season 3 is great but this one has a heart like no other.

2025-02-22 01:44:31 +0000 UTCOmg, I was in TEARS at the end as well. That scene was so powerful

2025-02-21 23:43:50 +0000 UTCI know you loved this one. But I am very much excited for you to finally be making it to season 3. I just did not vibe with Queen Charlotte, but I have enjoyed seeing how much you loved it. But again, personally, very excited for season 3!

2025-02-21 21:05:39 +0000 UTCStill in the middle of watching your reaction, but wanted to pause to answer your song question! The song playing during the ball scene that Charlotte and George are dancing to is "Nobody Gets Me" by our lovely Queen SZA 😍 The way you feel about the wigs is EXACTLY how I feel about their song selection in Queen Charlotte! They came to slayyy and I love them for it! Also, link for the song if you want it. 😉 https://open.spotify.com/track/5Y35SjAfXjjG0sFQ3KOxmm?si=e--bx1IHR8icGTz1cUv_rA

2025-02-21 17:25:09 +0000 UTCI would loveeeee a Brimsley and Reynolds spin off! But i'm not ready to cry this much and i am sure that would be the case hahahah

2025-02-21 08:07:42 +0000 UTCI’m not very informed on the British royal timeline or history, so I was super gagged when I realized that the heir is future Queen Victoria :) “A girl is wonderful”

2025-02-21 06:11:24 +0000 UTCBeautifully explained. I agree with all of this. The only disappointment I feel regarding the connection between QC and Bridgeton proper is that we didn't find out what happened to Reynolds in BS3. My head canon is that in a 'fit of madness' George dismissed Reynolds permanently and with little to no access to Brimsley, and hurt feelings, he resigned himself to a quiet life elsewhere. Which is why I NEED a Brimsley and Reynolds spin off 😂 I also wish BS3 explored the Lord Ledger of it all between Violet and Lady D more. And went further on the promise of "Lady Whistledown never writes of our hearts", in relation to the mature women of the Ton. I'm hopeful though, that those conversations are a hint at what could come in future seasons.

2025-02-21 03:38:58 +0000 UTCAww Niall you were destroyed in this episode and in this series and it was fantastic to watch xx

2025-02-21 01:08:01 +0000 UTCYes! They really are so complex, and they always make us feel empathetic on both sides. And hey, don’t worry, I love your spontaneous reactions. That’s exactly what makes it all so fun and special. Now, let’s go for Bridgerton Season 3, and fingers crossed for more sex and less crying this time 😂❤️
Loren
2025-02-21 00:18:34 +0000 UTCSo valid, I usually just say the first thing that comes to my mind when watching which leads to rash judgements and silly comments. It's all in jest and I think what you've wrote is so interesting. The show is so complex that even on a first watch, you'll miss key moments. Thanks for your comment, I just love this show and all it's character complexities!!

2025-02-21 00:05:41 +0000 UTCYeah Augusta wasn’t in a great position at any point in her life and she did the best she could so her son didn’t lose his crown. IRL, King George was dismissed a lot for his mental illness :/

2025-02-20 22:54:02 +0000 UTCI understand your perspective with some characters but it is important to consider all sides when discussing the actions and struggles of the characters, especially in a historical context like that of Queen Charlotte and King George. The Queen Mother, indeed, acted in ways that may have seemed harsh or controlling, but it is crucial to recognize that she was navigating an incredibly difficult situation. Her primary concern was always to protect her son and secure the stability of the crown. Watching her child suffer from a mental illness, particularly in an era when mental health was poorly understood, must have been heartbreaking. Her choices, though sometimes flawed, likely stemmed from a place of love and duty. Being part of the royal family meant enduring immense pressure, where every action was scrutinized. Similarly, the children of Charlotte grew up in a challenging environment. Lacking a present father and having a mother who was understandably preoccupied, they were left to live their lives without the guidance and emotional support they needed. This context helps explain their sometimes selfish or irresponsible behavior. They were not simply dismissive of their duties; they were products of their upbringing and circumstances. Reynolds is another character whose position is often overlooked. His loyalty and care for the King were evident, and while some of his actions or words might have appeared questionable, he was constantly walking a fine line. Serving the King in such a vulnerable state was a heavy burden, especially knowing that any misstep could lead to severe consequences. His devotion was undeniable, and his role was both delicate and critical. That said, I completely agree with you about the emotional depth of this series compared to previous Bridgerton seasons. The story of Charlotte and George touched us deeply, and it is natural for it to evoke such strong emotions. I cried as much as you and no matter how many times I watch the series, I will always cry in some scenes, especially the final one. Great reaction, bring on Season 3, I can't wait to experience it together with you!

2025-02-20 22:18:14 +0000 UTCOh fun fact George’s actor broke his foot and so that first confrontation this ep was shot in a way where he doesnt move LMAOOO

2025-02-20 21:27:27 +0000 UTCThis entire episode made me SOB. Brimsley and Reynolds start the waterworks and they do not stop for the next hour
slavicandsapphic
2025-02-20 21:22:12 +0000 UTCFrom Brimsley and Reynolds dancing through to the end, I am a mess each and every time. The last 5 minutes of this show should go down in history as one of the best season finales ever shown.

2025-02-20 19:47:02 +0000 UTCThe last scene completely broke me. But the scene were George confesses his love to Charlotte and the way his voice breaks when he says: from the moment I saw you trying to go over the wall 😭😭😭 And of course the incredibly sad scene with Brimsley dancing on his own 🥺… Like I mentioned it before, this is by far my favorite Bridgerton story. Apart from season 3 which I’m excited for you to react to next 🫶🏽
