Added 2025-02-13 18:25:49 +0000 UTCThis episode felt like an entire movie (and the next one is even longer!!!) because of all the stroylines and character developments... was this my fav ep so far? Potentially! The ladies were on FIRE this episode, especially Lady Danbury and Lady Bridgerton.
I adore the discussions of sex amongst the older women, it's so pure and sweet and I just LOVE THE WOMEN OF THIS SHOW!!!
Also, I'm so glad Lady Danbury reminded Charlotte that she is the LITERAL QUEEN!! Go see your man Georgey, go protect him, SAVE HIM from that evil, nasty doctor! God, i wish she truly executed the doctor on the spot!
One ep to go, AAHHHH!!

The way Lady D said "VIOLET BRIDGERTON" reminded me of how Violet said "COLIN BRIDGERTON" in season 1 (after Eloise had asked where babies come from and Colin said 'We are going to take our sticks out') IJBOL !

But fun fact about the costuming for Queen Charlotte, if you notice that in the Bridgerton series she wears the same fashion that was worn during her early years with the king during the late 1700’s. While in Bridgerton all the other characters outside of the palace wear the “newer” fashions for the early 1800’s. The theory is because she is stuck in the past with George and holding on to the love and time she had with him, so she continues to dress like time has not passed. A reference to when Brimsley told the Queen he felt she was “stuck in time”. P.S. absolutely love your reactions!

The way this show (and bridgerton - though to a lesser degree) discusses the issues of race & status, love/desire after a certain age, and so many messy bits of "humaning". *chef's kiss* Not to mention the instrumental version of Beyoncé's "Run The World" playing during the final scenes! 😍😍 I thought for sure you were about to sing along, LOL! Lady Danbury saying that they don't write stories about women like them but that doesn't make them less worthy, makes me cry every time. AND how could I forget that super powerful scene with Danbury trying to figure out who she is now that her husband is gone, someone she was catered toward and didn't even like that much. How strong she was to build herself into the woman who later shows Violet this grace
