Watching through these and loving it. Not sure if you’ll see this since it’s so late but the book version of Anthony and Kate make so much more sense (also Edwina clocks their tension immediately and finds her own happiness). Anthony is fine not having a love match bcas he believes he’ll never live past the age his father was when he died so he doesn’t want to leave a sad widow behind like his mother and family went through. I hate how they went all the way to a wedding with this to make a love triangle 🙃

I genuinely don’t understand everyone who says Kate has done everything to look after Edwina, she didn’t. In fact she didn’t do the one thing that I would expect from a sister, be honest. Even if she didn’t want to be honest about her own feelings for Anthony, why would she not tell her sister about the many times Anthony tried to kiss her?? I can’t imagine flirting with sister’s fiancé for weeks, almost kissing him on more than one occasion, and then not only not telling her, but convincing him to still marry the sister he doesn’t love. Even if Anthony and Edwina had gotten married, Edwina would’ve had a lonely life never understanding why her husband didn’t love her, never understanding why she wasn’t enough. Why would Kate want that for her?? Even Anthony questions that!

I really didn't see how this could end well for all parties concerned, but miracle of miracles, it did! Absolutely brilliant writing for this episode, I feel whole in a way that I never thought I could or would!

One thing I like about the book was that Edwina knew all along that Kate and Anthony had feelings for each other. But also gotta love the shows messiness 🤣

I really don’t like Edwina in this episode… I get that she’s hurt (and reasonably to an extent) but she’s so delusional… Kate and even Anthony himself have told her repeatedly that he does not want a love match, she KNEW he didn’t love her, we knew he didn’t love her, how is anyone surprised??? She has even accepted that in the past “does that make him a bad man or an honest one?” - she just got swept up in her fantasy because she is in fact young, immature and not ready 🤷♀️
Plus you are forgetting that at this moment in time a prestigious marriage with a good man, even without love, is something that most women would envy…
now, him loving her sister is another thing entirely…

Okay even if Edwina would stay with someone she knows doesn't love her, Anthony really thought she'd be okay with Kate not being in her life?? That boy is on something lmao

Everything Edwina has felt and said is completely valid. I mean, imagine realizing all of that on your wedding day! On the other hand, Kate has tried not to act on her feelings out of respect for Edwina, but honestly, if she had just been honest from the start, maybe things wouldn’t have spiraled so far. That said, never, under any circumstances, would I kiss my sister’s ex-fiancé on the day her wedding gets canceled. I get the drama, I get the passion, but come on! Couldn’t they wait, like, one day? Or even just a few hours? 😂

This one is wild but there are so many good things about it! The haldi at the beginning with those gorgeous oranges, Edwina finally getting to speak her mind and be herself + her reaction to the King and how kind she is. And of course that kiss
