Patreon Update

I wanted to quickly jump on here to discuss future plans in how I make these full length reaction videos for my Patreon.
I’ve been talking with some fellow reactors about the worry and fear of being copyright stricken, especially with how I create reaction videos on here. I, of course, don’t want my Patreon to be taken down or worse case scenario, get fined for copyright infringement.
So this means that for future videos, I’m going to change the way I create them. I think I’ll have to do what others do and turn them into a watch along format with a timer so you can sync up your own copy of the film / tv show. I know this isn’t ideal, it’s not what people want, but it’s what I’ll have to do in order to not get myself in trouble.
I have no clue what to do with my previous videos, I might have to slowly re-upload them all in a watch-along style format as we transition the Patreon into this new way of life. Which could take a lot of time. Sadly, some videos I no longer have the footage for so I may have to delete them all together unless I can figure out a way to fix it/change it. I could potentially upload the videos I can't fix to a Google Drive folder and just share the link, would that work? If you have any ideas, please do let me know!
It’s a bit of a stress and I apologise for this, it sucks, but I want to make sure I don’t get in trouble in the future but also continue to provide you all with great content!

I watch full episodes of old America’s Next Top Model on YT with Luxeria, and she just makes the window of the video a little crooked and smaller and she says that’s she gets around the copyright issues. Maybe reach out to her!

2024-06-24 14:32:40 +0000 UTCI suggest reaching out to Brad Evans as well, or the guys over on “A Story Worth Telling”.. It sucks this is happening, I hope you’re able to figure out a solution.. Like some ppl have mentioned not everyone has the devices to be able to watch things simultaneously..

I know I miss out on some wonderful creators because although I have the shows myself, I don’t have the device capacity to watch things in two places at once.

I don't know if this would work for you but I watch Brad Evans on patreon (a different YouTube reaction channel) and he uses vimeo for his vids and hasn't so far mentioned any major copyright issues. You could reach out to him and see if it's a possibility for you ❤️

Dealing with copyright infringement is the worst! But chin up, Niall, at the end of the day your patrons will still be here cuz we love your content ❤️
