The scene with all the queers dancing in the house broke me. To want something as simple as love and feel as though you'll never obtain it breaks my heart. What a show so far!

I know Hawk is a divisive character, but I love him as much as I love Tim. He’s complicated. I love his and Marcus’s friendship. To be friends with a black man in the 50s? In the U.S.? Hawk was a rebel in his own way. Very interesting that it took him ~30 years to get the post he wanted. It shouldn’t have taken that long. We’re here with you for the tears. 💜💜

Some of the scenarios are based on specific real events but are experienced by fictional characters. So it's a real mix, but to the extent of my knowledge they did their research.
