2023-10-24 09:31:44 +0000 UTChey! glad you're reacting to this series - its awesome! have watched heaps of reactions before and glad you're new to it and doing it! it is DEFINITELY better to watch the series in swedish with english subs. the dubbing is a bit tacky because obviously its done in a studio as opposed to in the moment. the emotion and even the flow of their talking just doesnt seem great. "tunefind" is a very good tool for finding out songs which you might like which aren't on the soundtrack. you can go into each episode and it'll have the song name and artist and a brief description of the scene. there are a lot of excellent songs which aren't on the official soundtrack. warning though - i wouldnt go looking at episodes you havent watched - because the brief descriptions of where the song is played in the episode can have a spoilers. there's a season 2 one as well for when you get to that stage :) https://www.tunefind.com/show/young-royals/season-1

2023-06-07 23:05:55 +0000 UTCNot gonna lie, I hated August so much, and found so few of the other characters sympathetic, that I stopped watching about midway through this episode, and it was several months before I went back to it. As others have said, brace yourself, cuz August gets even worse -- makes Ben-from-Heartstopper look almost OK. (It doesn't help that Malte's dubbing is lower-quality than Edvin's and Omar's.)
