Most youtubers were not moved or quickly passed through the scene when Charlie first met Nick ... the rainbow, sun glare, the leaves, glow is their faces, the "Hi" ... OMG and the music ... I felt like my heartstopped... I shed my first tear within the first 5 minutes ... absolute perfection!!!

However, I do not like graphic novels (No offense to those who love graphic novels). I just cannot get through them and I never understand them. Anyhow, I did want to watch the show so I decided to watch it the day season 1 came out. I finished it in one night and the next morning, I drove to barnes and noble to buy the books. I drove around 2-3 barnes and noble to find all 4, but I needed to have them and read them. I still prefer written books, but Heartstopper is an exception. I love those pieces of art.

Also I subscribed to your channel. I want to also say that I SO RESONATE with your comment on the trauma, triggers and selfishness on the show.. I was afraid of that too but reading the books and watching the series.. I’ve been so grateful that this has been almost a therapy to me and a reflection on myself of “it didn’t happen then, but it’s happening now” . I adore you so much

From the 1-3 vid I saw, your reactions were almost identical to mine and I am much older than you (mid 50s). Going through your teens in the 80s, with the aids scare hitting right around 13/14 yrs old, religious homophobic alcoholic father... As you can see, my experiences were no where near as happy as the show. Add in the constant bullying at school and you get the picture. I find this show is a 2 sided gift. It shows people how things should be, how they can be and it can show us the happiness that can be found to those of us who missed it. But it also reminds us of our lives which can be a downer. Your reactions were great, looked real (some others are faked and viewed before) and I found that you connected with the audience...at least with me. I have seen the season uncounted times and full season reactions from dozens. I only signed up on Patreon for 3 others besides yours. Please continue to do reactions for season 2 later this summer. I also subscribed to your YouTube but it's under my real name so won't match this login.
