you should also add the chemicals farmers use to kill all animals in the field in order to produce those "veggies"

Local only works up to a point and vegetarian diets can be incompatible. For Inuits for example, eating local limits the options to meat, and in certain climates you are dependent on green houses.
For this reason prioritising eating local is good, when it is possible, but it shouldn’t be taken to an ideological extreme.
We need to be sensitive to our geography and environment, and do the best we can.

Thats why you buy local. Though the amount of space and water needed for plant based products is a lot less.

They sequester far less than the forests that needed to be cleared out to make space, though.

Well...that could be like 50-50 if the livestock is in grazing pastures. Grasslands also are sequestrating CO2 from the air and enriching the soil with nutrients.

The thing is plants 'hidden cost' of these three categories is lower than meat's 'hidden cost'. This means that a plant-based diet DOES hurt the environment less.

He wasn't exonerating the meat industry. But carnivores don't virtue signal their diet as superior for the environment, either.

9 times out of 10 the total amount of hidden green costs is much lower than the cost of non-green things, though, in the long run.

Livestock also needs space. More space than plants. In addition, the food we give it also needs space.
Livestock needs water (a lot of water), and so does food we grow for livestock.
And lastly, meat doesn't magically teleport to stores, it also needs to be transported.
While there are many aspects in which meat is far superior to vegan diets, Jago picked three categories in which meat does NOT win.
You're so focused on being "anti-woke" you forgot to use your brain.

You don't realise that all these three "hidden costs" apply to meat too, right? Livestock needs space (plus space for food for livestock!), livestocks needs water (food for livestock also needs water), and meat needs to be transported - it doesn't magically teleport to stores.

It’s nice when one’s bias is confirmed in illustrated form. Even better when the character in said illustration confirming it is as pretentious as all hell. d(‘-‘ )

This is perfect! The point is that none of this woke stuff is as good for the environment as it claims to be. It's not about saving the planet, it's about controlling the population.

Yeah thats exactly it, the deforestation, the water and feed consumption behind livestock, and transport is almost equivalent to that of her salad. Except her lettuce doesnt produce anything but oxygen, while beef produces methane gas.

The amount of "Hidden Costs" to "Green" things is always funny as hell.

Meh. Jago's off on this one. A large percentage of land clearing is done to feed livestock, not people. But, who am I?
