“Hey, your hair looks nice!” (Ideally a woman you’re close with, like a friend) is a compliment. “You should smile more” is a suggestion you make to a woman so she looks more visually appealing to you more often. See the difference?

I liked having the compliment, since that rarely happens. Would i feel different if it happened all the time? I can’t say for sure.

Hell, nowadays we can’t even tell some women that they look beautiful without them taking it as a sexual advance.
