Strangers Project File
Added 2025-07-02 04:54:51 +0000 UTChey all! uploading one of my favorite tracks to date - also probably one of my simplest, in terms of project files. this is an easy one to dissect since there's nothing complicated i'm doing here, no stacks, layers, crazy fills etc. just drums, a main melody, obviously vocals (i don't even think it has a drum buss?). the only cool trick i'm a fan of is shortening the valhalla verb to the extreme so the intro chords come out fluffy.
every time i come back from edc vegas i always come up with something fulfilling - last time it was frozen fireworks. this one another project that was inspired by the afterglow coming home from edc. later i had asked my manager if we can find vocals for this, so that's how i met jantine.

2025-07-08 20:12:59 +0000 UTCi believe ozone 7 is just used to control the loudness on each band when it gets loud. the compression is very light on them but i am boosting the high band with it. you can certainly achieve the same result with multiband compression.

2025-07-07 20:29:12 +0000 UTCif it's not too much of a bother, could you please share any screenshot(s) of your processing in Ozone 7 on the saw chords? curious as to what you have going on there as it seems to really help with balancing. i only have later versions of Ozone, R.I.P. to that better exciter in 7.
