She is Mafalda, a little girl from Argentina who shows her peculiar points of view about life and society through her life experiences. She's widely popular in Latin America, even to current generations. Her creator, Quino, passed away this week. One of her most iconic comics (or at least that I remember) happened when her mother puts her in charge of the house while she goes outside to buy some groceries. Her mother orders Mafalda to never open the door, to whoever could appear in front, to which she replies "But what if it's happiness?"
