Ubu, the gnoll
Added 2018-01-07 20:36:57 +0000 UTCI don't normally do non-TF art, but I really liked the character design of Gnollerino's 'sona Ubu, and I wanted an opportunity to develop my technique at doing fur in general. It's a little bit of a belated Yule present, which was supposed to be done a month ago. Sigh.
I think I've made a lot of improvements on how to do fur. The arms took 4 attempts and about 25 layers total, but I've got the technique down now, and it's gonna make tfs hella cool.

I'm personally not a huge fan of the Fursona thing. It's something I accept but don't really go out of my way to see in most cases. That being said, you did a real good job at this one. For me it strikes the perfect balance of photorealism and surrealism that I feel a "Real furry" picture should have to it. Not that i've seen "Real furry" pics of this quality before, but it does the genre more justice than the fursuits do, that's for sure.
