Audio Morph - "Cabin in the Woods (deleted scene)" Moose TF

Started working on it and immediately thought of how much missed TF potential there was in Joss Whedon's "Cabin in the Woods". Following true to the meta-fiction, I imagine our hapless victim arrived on scene earlier than the rest of the party and was subsequently forgotten about after pissing off the local moose diety, who then decided to rewrite his existence out of the script.

------------

Finally finished it! This one took a lot more work cause I did a lot of modifications to the voice, and discovered some new ways of using the envelope tool to create a finer human-animal voice blend. It's a bit longer too.

As always this one's the uncompressed wav, and there'll be a low qual upload on FA.

I'll be uploaded a voice isolated track here too!

I'm thinking of doing a quick run down of how I make these and demonstrating the tech. It is very intuitive, and I'd love to hear others experimenting more with audio tf stories. The software I use is Ardour (my DAW, which is pay what-you-want for an engine as powerful as any commercially available DAW, I recommend paying the minimum to receive lifetime updates to it) and Audacity (for how efficient it is at organizing audio clips and foley if you can get past it's kind of archaic limitations, after all it's free!). I use the plugin Zynaptiq Morph2, which is a bit expensive, but very powerful. It allows you to DJ audio morphing, crossfading and harmonic blending in real time.

Featuring the awesome voice acting of Mela-Ceroses!

Given the semi limitation on voice actors I personally prefer the improv works myself. I feel like long drawn out series like that would be kind of difficult to recruit for.

Probably in name only, I highly recommend to check it out since she just finished it. It's 400 pages long, but I think you can manage.

I'll see what I can do in the future. Alot is guided improv or just improv which I reorganize and modify. I'm pretty sure that Arania's sequence is at least partially inspired by the film or perhaps Evil Dead.

When I first saw this pop up in my notifications, I first thought it was related to Arania's Cabin in the Woods TF sequence. Don't get me wrong, I still enjoy it, but have you ever thought about releasing transcripts to these so we can follow along with the audio in case we want to hear the human voices?

Excedrin the antler medication.

Ooo me too! Feral tfs all the way! I love it when the individual ends up well and truly nonhuman. When I work on these, I take a small section of audio and re-adjust my settings to 20% tfed, 40%...etc. and then play with the voice within that range in a real time recording, sending the data to a new track. Usually do 7-8 tries for 15-30sec clips. I think the trick to getting that effect is to establish a clear sense of progression, even if it ends up distorting the voice at the end. I personally love it when it sounds like an animal trying to form complex phonemes without the ability to.

ooo just pm me! we can talk about some ideas

yeah that came out super amazing. Hows one get in on this fun? I'd love to do something collab like this with ya. I super dig interesting interwoven horror movie like elements in TF.

Personally I hope there's a lot more full animal tfs coming out across the board myself. I'm not a huge fan of the anthro tf's because it ends up just sounding like a deepened voice with human growls, where your work really, to me, implies a full transformation into the beast in question.
