Phibes Thanksgiving
Added 2020-09-30 13:25:23 +0000 UTCDue to the governments recent non viability law in which artists will not receive any support or furlough throughout the 10pm curfew period meaning that raves, festivals and the like are certainly not going to be happening anytime soon.
This is a travesty for our industry at large, but we want to give thanks, and it was a big reminder that you guys are the ones that have kept us going during this pandemic. Without royalties and this patreon we would be in trouble, its now been 6months since we have played a show, and were looking very possibly at another 6months without one.
The conservatives have turned their back on mid level artists like us as most of our income comes from shows so to be told we dont have any support for the next 6months is heartbreaking, to be told our jobs are not viable, to be told we are not contributing to society even though we pay our taxes and that our jobs are basically not real is honestly crushing.
This is our trade, we work inside an industry no different from any other sector, this is what we do, what we have done for years and years. We will not stop making music consistantly and teaching because the government has left us out to dry, we will continue to give songs and sample packs and comps every month, we will not be disheartend and we will find a way to get by.
So thank you for your continued support, we will try better and harder to make this patreon more than it is now. We are currently working on switching to a discord server to create more of a sense of community, we did not before as we were unsure if we had the time to manage it, but now we believe we can. We will be implementing this in October.
