"Jackals & Batteries" 16-19 | WIP
Added 2022-05-28 11:52:44 +0000 UTCIn between doing a bunch of DIY work around the house, doodling jackals and getting my car serviced, I mananged to sketch up the next 4 pages of Jackals and Batteries!
Switching back to Tsenaya and Xill from the scene we saw in the gaol area with Maeko and Kaera, Xill is basically pleading for his life at this point and the dialog between these two was super fun to write if I do say so myself. Writing arguments is always a ton of fun because you kinda have to "argue with yourself" to make it sound convincing.
I like how she doesn't really flinch at the thought of "bonding" with Xill, but it more self conscious about her weak magic than anything!
The little moment on page 18 where she decides she's not gonna let anyone else die in front of her was really rewarding for me since I've been setting that up since way back in Skin Deep where she watched Joshua (the Acolyte) die.
