Playing cards- Waykeepers style!
Added 2021-09-06 22:07:47 +0000 UTCThis one's a bit more technical and "dry", but I thought it would be nice to show you all the out-of-context playing cards I came up with for the strip-poker game between Maeko and Kaera!
As you can see, there's a suit of four "Kings" at the top now, and I'll be changing the previous two comic pages either tonight or tomorrow so that Kaera's no longer cheating and the resulting hands make sense hahah ^_^;;...

Yep, and it gives Maeko good reason to believe she's won, a Full House is an excellent hand, but 4-of-a-kind beats a Full House

For now though they're only gonna make one appearance in the comic so it's not worth setting aside what would probably end up being weeks of work to come up with different designs for each face card ^_^;;.

2021-09-07 10:10:13 +0000 UTCIf you'd like to Kaera the ultimate winning hand, give her the 10, Jack, Queen, King, and Ace, and make them all the same suit, the most commonly known suit for a hand like this is the Spades, it's called a Royal Flush

2021-09-07 05:24:20 +0000 UTCYou could also make a French Tarot card set if you want to draw more stuff, there are 4 face cards per suit (Jacks, Knights, Queens, and Kings) but the most interesting part is that you have an extra "suit" and an extra card. The extra card is called the "Excuse" which is a minstrel, and the extra suit cards are trump cards numbered from 1 to 21, what's interesting about them is that in the middle of each card there are two drawings of various scenes. I have a set of Asterix tarot cards where they put vignettes from the Asterix comics.
