I've done some tweaking to the dialog since the sketch pages since it was a little messy before, but I think the conversation between the characters here flows much better now. My favorite panel is the last panel on page 08 where Tsenaya's totally perving out on Xill ;).
Finally, Maeko and Kaera are making their first appearance in color since I designed them! If Maeko looks familiar, it's because she's supposed to be Malcolm's half-sister who took a slightly more prestigious road in life...still, he loves her like crazy and I hope to be able to show that at some point!
I hope you're liking the comic so far and that the scene-switch between the two conversations wasn't too jarring!

I'm working hard to reach a point where the colors have that "pop" quality to them so they don't get quite as "muddy" as they did with comics like Skin Deep and even Sleepless Nights...it was in the middle of Sleepless Nights that I realized my colors needed more contrast if they were gonna look good and what you're seeing is the result of a bunch of experimentation (and simplification)! I'm glad you like it in any case!

Besides, it would be a bit spoilery and the purpose of this comic is to begin to explain how Djinn affect the universe and why they need a Focus (Maestro) so they don't just turn into flames and go poof! Hang in there- the answers are coming in time!
