Alopex is finally done!
I must say that this little fox and I have gone through quite the journey together. I always liked this sketch more than the other lewd one, but I didn't realize how much more work it would be to get her to look right!
At first, I had her in a cherry tree, but I just really didn't like the way the cherry blossoms looked...it might have been their pink color that threw the feeling of the image off I think, but once I switched to a Japanese Maple tree it came together much easier. Not only are the leaves in fall a more suitable color, but they're chonkier and more fun to draw.
As for Alopex herself, setting aside the fact that white fur can be a challenge to shade and light, I actually quite enjoyed coloring her when the time came.
