Design: Kaera Hawke & some criminals!
Added 2020-11-05 21:18:16 +0000 UTCIt's finally time to formally introduce another character to the roster, Kaera Hawke!
It took quite some time for me to decide on the body and wing shape I wanted to go with, since birds aren't a species I tend to draw very often. I decided that it would be best if Maeko's nemesis and ex-best friend would be something that preys upon mongoose- a hawk.
Kaera will be turning up in the upcoming comic as well, so we'll be seeing more of her shortly. I hope you like her design!
Also, you'll see that we have our official lineup of prisoners that will accompany Kaera aboard the prisoner transport. These were selected from a group of Pharaohs and I just want to take this opportunity to thank all you wonderful Pharaohs for letting me borrow your characters!
I think we should let Paige go though...she seems really sorry and I don't think she'll do whatever she did to earn those prison duds again ^_^;;...
Thanks for your patience everyone! I'm thinking we'll get started on the comic properly in the New Year, after we've had some traditional fun with our reindeer friends in December...

2020-11-08 23:35:32 +0000 UTCYeah, I was thinking that the cuffs would be operated by a remote the head guard would have, so it would be easier to seal and release the prisoners without needing to get too close if needs be. They can even tighten the cuffs from a distance if the prisoners get too rowdy.

2020-11-08 23:35:13 +0000 UTCI definitely started out with a very Rito-ish shape, but I found that the Rito were way too tall to work with, and there were other elements of their design that didn't translate that well into my style either. They were a really great point of reference though!

Don't do crimes! ;) And I agree regarding Paige :D Oh, those cuffs look neat, with the red bit in the middle. Some sort of magic element to them, or just cool design?
