It's a flashback showing what happened after the meeting between two adventure teams and Slane Theocracy secret unit, before Ainz met with Prince Zanac. It might get confusing as whole episode is in a flashback. The continuation is from episode 12.

Ainz is afraid of finding out what will happen if he will ask his subjects to stop hating humans and treat him like a normal being because they expect him to remain as their supreme godlike leader(this was actually written in Novel where Ainz decides to live upto guardians expectations by leaving his player personality as Momomga or human side behind, which was already replaced by this new real 'undead personality'). So he never question their beliefs(anyone not made by Supreme beings are not worthy to live), cause it would mean they should question his position as well and even though for them Supreme beings are gods, most of NPC's are not created by Ainz, which makes managing loyalty of thousands of now alive NPC in Nazarick a difficult job for him unless he acts like their leader. It's possible only select few NPC's would understand but many NPC's might find it hard to understand why a supreme being who is not their creator will say things against their beliefs. So, he probably thinks going against NPC mentality can backfire and he can also lose a place where he is wanted, especially if he shows his ignorant human side. Still, cause Ainz thinks NPC's are precious to him as they are made by his friends, he is now spoiling them instead. Most of them are like grown up menacing kids right now as they were not alive before coming to this world.

2025-04-17 20:35:32 +0000 UTCAinz was only giving chance for people to escape cause of his promise to Pestoniya and Nigredo. Though he only did that in the region which he attacked. All other regions where his guardians were in charge of attacking were destroyed completely. But now Prince Zanac death made him think otherwise.
