A bit late but gonna explain the timeline since you guys didn't seem to put it together they have around 3 days to get to the mansion in day 1: nothing happens. day 2: also nothing happens until at night, word is spread by merchants that the main route is covered in fog, and that means the White Whale is there, making it impossible to get to the mansion using that route, and the need to take a longer route (what they did in episode 14 and 15, which made them get there too late) also in episode 14, Rem mentioned the road being covered by the fog, and that the White Whale is there. day 3: the attack happens with only a few witch cultists attacking the mansion at first, and Rem senses that something feels off with Ram, later that day the rest of the attack occurs, and around the end of day 3, beast of the end form Puck is released and the world is getting destroyed, or more accurate, frozen. Reset So far, we can't reach Roswaal, we can't get help from Reinhardt either, and we couldn't convince Emilia to leave, which leaves us with negotiating, you already watched episode 19 by the time I wrote this so you know how that goes, but I wanted to give a little context on the White Whale that you missed
