October Update: Spooky Season Time

The nights are getting colder, but our team is still on fire 🔥 Welcome to the October update! BEFORE WE GET TO BUSINESS THOUGH, here’s a treat on us 🤭

This year, Kuras finally accepted Leander’s invitation for a drink. We had you, our beautifully thirsty community, vote on our holiday polls to decide which drinks they’d try off The Wet Wick’s secret Halloween Menu! Looks like those cocktails were more trick than treat, but I’m not complaining about the boys stumbling out looking like THIS 😉

Release Plan

Some very fun things in the works! Speaking of which, we’ve seen some of the floating concerns re: Chapter 1 Early Access and the release windows. My apologies for the confusion with the Q3/Q4 wording. We’ve changed the Dev Snapshots to more accurately say December 2025!

We’ll have more concrete release dates shared soon, but please rest assured, Chapter 1 will be in your hands this year for sure! Thank you again for waiting patiently ❤️

🎙️ Voice Over Updates

We’ve officially started recording!! 🥳 Two characters are already wrapped, and the sessions have been going SO well. 

Since all our creative directors (Lulu, Dev, and Vika) live close to the studio and most of our talent, we’ve been lucky enough to attend sessions in person. It’s been a surreal experience hearing these characters not just come to life, but evolve with every take as the actors add depth and emotion of their own. It is genuinely an experience we’ll never forget, and a highlight of our careers that we’ll cherish forever.

TOUCHSTARVED has been in development for years now, and moments like this remind us how far this scrappy passion project with friends has come. None of it would exist without you. Thank you for helping us smash those stretch goals and bring this world to life. 🥰

And not to spoil too much…but the sexy monster noises? They’re dangerously good.

Huge shoutout to our incredible Voice Director, Souha, for managing the entire process and helping us bring in some seriously killer talent. We can’t wait for you to hear everything in the full game—but don’t worry, we’ll definitely be sharing a few teasers once the full cast wraps next year!

Our art team has been popping off with their illustrations. Here’s a colour rough (subject to change!) of someone we know… but he doesn’t look so good. 🤕

Our partner, Knights of the Light Table, continues to bless us with animations of our characters! Here’s a rough keyframe animation of Kuras. If he’s already looking this good in a WIP, I can’t imagine how good this’ll be when finished.
