As we've mentioned in past interviews, all of our monstrous love interests are doomed unless you're on their route. In fact, you might even catch a glimpse of their tragic fates when romancing other characters. Poor Leander is no exception, and just like the rest, his demise is... well, mostly his own fault.

Many of you brilliant people have correctly guessed that we’re in the process of updating our demo! You are very perceptive and we are mildly afraid of you.

We are incredibly grateful for all the feedback you’ve given us on the existing TOUCHSTARVED demo, and based on your thoughts and feelings, we’ve decided to polish certain demo scenes, add more choices, and make adjustments to the origins. The screenshot we’ve posted above features one of many changes in progress!

We’ve posted sneak peeks of other updates on socials, but here is an ✨exclusive✨ look at one of Leander’s polished scenes. We’re very excited to get your reactions with this quality increase, and of course have been keeping your feedback in mind for the full routes as well! 🔥

A little behind-the-scenes glimpse for you: while our writing and art teams are hard at work, placeholders are the unsung heroes of development. They keep everything running smoothly in the meantime.

not!Kuras writes poetry and it is very depressing.

You’ve already met not!Kuras, one of our NPC placeholders… but did you know we use placeholders for literally everything else?

“Ais, you live like this?” (echoes, because there’s no furniture)

Yes, that’s a sneak peek into Ais’s room... for now. This image is a placeholder we don’t even own, but it lets our writers get cracking on scripts, transitions, camera effects, and more while the actual art is still in progress.

not!Vere is an instagram influencer and I’m 100% getting scammed by him.

One of the most rewarding parts of game development is seeing everything click into place. Final assets come together like puzzle pieces, creating the immersive experience that started as just a vision in our heads. Of course, it takes a lot of coordination across our multi-disciplinary team to stay true to that vision, but it’s a challenge we gladly accept!
