Young royals S2 EP5

Comments

As usual I found your perspective very insightful Courtney. Thank you.

I really enjoy your reactions. And Young Royals is such an excellent program. You mentioned when Wilhelm is king he can do what he wants. But his ideas might be tempered by the Royal Court. It wasn’t the queen’s idea to make August the back up, the Royal Court decided that and she has to go along with it…

I watched the whole season when it was first released. But it was great reliving this episode again. I forgot all the important things that happened this episode. Looking forward to Episode 6 reaction! Great job, Jai!

There’s no question that I think most of us watching this show have also seen Marcus as being manipulative. So I don’t think anyone is sorry to see him back with Wilhelm. As others have said, already, one of the good things about this series is that none of the characters is totally good, and no one is totally bad, not even August (though he’s definitely pretty bad). I do think his feelings for Sara are sincere, though that hardly makes up for all of the awful things he does.

Thanks for this episode. It was a pleasure to watch it with you 🫶🏻. I’m like your friend Jackie obsessed with Edvin’s acting 😄. You could feel his panic through this hole episode. It was good to see that Wilhelm desided to be honest with Simon and tell him about August beeing his backup outside Simon’s house. And doing it infront of Simon’s friends too. It feels like they dont like Wilhelm very much so it was good that they heard Wilhelm willing to give up the throne for Simon. That’s how much he loves him. I’m so happy that you desided to watch the teaser of Season 3 directly after the season finale. I’m so looking forward to March when Season 3 is coming out 🤴🏼💜.

I’ve loved revisiting Young Royals with you, in preparation for season 3 landing in March. I think that a part of the reason I love this show so much, is how layered and complex the characters all are. They aren’t all “good” or all “bad”, they are just young people, guided by hormones, emotions and their own lived experiences, trying to navigate the kinds of situations (pressures of status, obligation and living in the public eye) that most of us couldn’t imagine having to deal with at 16 or 17 years of age.
