LOVE VICTOR s3 ep2

sorry for this being the edited version i had a point where i couldn't track something so it would have all been out of sync

LOVE VICTOR s3 ep2

Comments

I don't think so because there's been plenty of other queer shows and the first season was really good to love victor but they just haven't focused on developing victor past the point of he's gay

Courtney Jai

Sexual desire at that age is probably the root of most relationships! The amount of time Lake has spent with Lucy so far has seen far more sweet and developed compared to them; I don't know if I'm expecting too much from the show, when it's good, it's really good, perhaps I've just been spoiled by a certain other recent show and the comparison is unfair.

Not really just feels like sexual desire then actually relationships the only relationship that seem real is adrews and mias and even her side feels a little flat in comparions to him

Courtney Jai

I like the show, and considering it's coming out of America, it feels like a big step forwards in their TV landscape. But it has far better things to say about mental health and also Victor's mum and her journey to acceptance (which really is beginning to be a good part of the story), and the attitudes the generation of Victor's little brother towards the LBGT+ community than the supposed romance between the leads. Has there been a romance?

" ... she also liked another one and hated the third - the abusive alcoholic.). She also was a strong supporter of a her local state representative who was gay ... and at one point when I introduced myself to him at a Pride parade his eyes lit i]up in delight and he tole me how wonderfully supportive she had been, and how proud she was of both me and my adopted son. So yeah, parents can come around at their own speed. :-)

I managed to miss the first two seasons, but after your commentaries on the first two episodes of season 3 I want to go back and binge-watch seasons 1 and 2. I appreciate your comments about the parents attending their first p-flag meeting. The summer after my senior year of college, my deeply religious mother discovered I was gay when she read a letter I was writing to a friend that I had carelessly left out. She didn't say anything, but I definitely felt my security shaken. Six months later when I was away at college, I got a phone call from her one morning, and the first thing she said was, "If you feel that in your life you need to live with a man to feel fulfilled, I will trust that decision. Do what you need to do to be happy." We never had any major discussions about it after that, she met some of my boyfriends (when she saw one her eyes got wide and she gasped, "I think he's the handsomest man I've ever seen

The next one won't be its because during the video I had to grab my laptop charger but I can't remember which point that was so I'd have to reedit that but you guys still get it a day early the next ones will be unedited

It’s okay that it’s the edited version.

Just feel like love victor hasn't really developed the characters of benji and victor as a couple just as individuals they almost feel partnered together because their gay not because they feel right together. Like skam isac and even felt right , heartstopper nick and Charlie feel right but this feels almost forced sadly I'm hoping they get better.

Courtney Jai

I actually completely agree I find victor and benji to be almost side characters now their relationship is full of unneeded drama , but I think most of all we haven't really seen them bond we just see them happy for like an episode before it's back to drama

Courtney Jai

Oh, they broke up. Again. I'm still trying to figure out why Victor and Benji are dating, what do they have in common past he was literally the first gay person Victor met? (And to be fair a lot of us have a first relationship based on that dynamic). It's beginning to feel like a really toxic relationship, Benji breaks up with him, Victor pines, Benji snaps his fingers and Victor comes back to him (and this is without the very clear power imbalance between the two, when it comes to wealth, their working relationship, and experience). It still feels like the least developed relationship on the show, and that includes the one that's two episodes old. I'm loving Andrew more this season, it feels like they realised half way through season two that they don't really need an antagonist on the the show and he can just be a nice guy and get on with people - and yes, give him all the 4k cameras he wants. Felix remains the best person in the show, he deserves everything and all the love. I like the show, Victor and Benji just seem to be the weakest parts.

jearle

I’m sure I’ve said this before, but Felix is indeed my favorite character on the series, though I do think Andrew’s character arc is possibly my favorite as well. And as far as what’s going on with Benji, all I’ll say is it may take a while, but eventually it’ll be clear what’s going on. (If that wasn’t the case, it would be a huge flaw in the series.)
