I think we basically have a difference in perception, because I felt like it was embedded into the character from the beginning, and it was the first season where I felt the pacing was off rather than the second one, with too much time spent with Victor trying to justify dating Mia. I also thought the second season had the strength of Felix’s relationship with his mother and to me the very realistic slow acceptance of Victor’s mother of his sexuality. Like you, I also enjoyed the development of Andrew into a better version of himself. I think we all perceive things like this through our own particular lens, and that’s OK.

2022-06-25 12:16:14 +0000 UTCThe problem I found with that is it felt like it was added after the fact rather then being embedded into the character , I also felt like the pacing for season 2 was off I mean we barely get to see much of the cute stuff at the beginning of Victor's and benjis relationship they make out like they've been going out for a couple of months but how it feels in the show is like a couple of weeks

What I really had meant to say was that I thought that the show was exploring the coming out of someone raised in a family that was both Latino and Catholic, and that the two were tied together from the beginning (and written by writers who were mostly Latino themselves). So it made sense to me that Victor and Rahim would be able to relate to each other because both of them were from religiously and ethnically conservative backgrounds.
