Icy Dungeon

Deep beneath the frozen tundra lies a labyrinth of ice-carved halls, where the silence is broken only by the crackling hum of ancient magic coursing through glowing, geometric channels in the frosty ground. Braziers flicker with ghostly blue flames, their light casting eerie shadows on tombs long forgotten, each whispering secrets of those entombed within. This is no ordinary dungeon; it’s a place of power, its frozen heart pulsing with energy, daring adventurers to unravel its mysteries—or succumb to the icy grip of its chilling traps. Will you unearth its secrets, or will its frosty embrace become your tomb?

The dungeon mirrors the desolation of the frozen landscape above, a lifeless expanse of cold stone walls and frost-slick floors encasing the forgotten tombs of those who came before. From the entrance, the dungeon splits into three distinct passages, each winding deeper into the icy depths. Lines of shimmering, arcane energy weave through the stone floors in precise, geometric patterns, their icy glow guiding the flow of power further into the heart of the dungeon. Sparse braziers flicker with cold, blue flames, their light barely breaking the oppressive chill, while the tombs remain silent sentinels to an ancient and enigmatic past.

There are a bunch of fun mechanics for D&D 5e, to use with this one: - All floor is Difficult Terrain, but can make an Athletics/Acrobatics check to cancel this. Fail means your character is Prone, or/and slide 1d4 squares extra. - Shove Rolls have Advantage, and add +STR Mod squares. Hitting a wall provokes a shower of very pointy icicles! - Proficiency with Iceskates? You can Strife (move in and out of an enemy-controlled square without triggering Opportunity Attacks) and add your DEX Mod to your Movement. - Using Fire magic (yes, Heat Metal too)? Tough luck, you roll with Disadvantage / Saves are at Advantage! - Using Ice magic? Increase the Critical range one step per level of the Slot spend (So, Level 3 Slot spell? Critical with 17+)
