Introduction

For years, a ruthless band of outlaws has preyed on innocent travelers, driven by greed and a sadistic thirst for violence. They target the vulnerable, avoiding well-armed convoys and instead striking terror into common folk and lightly guarded merchants.

Despite efforts to hunt them down, the outlaws always vanish without a trace after their raids, leaving behind nothing but fear. But now, you've discovered their hidden lair. Nestled deep in a ravine, this secret den is where they rest, surrounded by hoarded loot and vigilant lookouts. The call of a bird warns them of any intruders.

Map Description

Rickety ladders and crude ropes span rocky ravines, leading down to primitive campsites scattered across the rugged terrain. Rocky outcrops divide the camp into sections, creating a labyrinth of shadowy hideaways.

Fires and lanterns flicker in the darkness, offering a deceptive sense of cheer. But the warmth is a trap—anyone drawn too close will meet a swift and deadly end. The largest structure in the den, a covered tent, houses the outlaws' latest spoils. Coins are divided among the crew, while valuable goods wait for their chance to be sold on the black market.

Notes:

Gaining the element of surprise is nearly impossible without magical aid.
There might be a safe path to jump down with minimal injury, but it's hard to find for newcomers—most jumps would likely result in broken limbs.
The bandits rotate their sleeping shifts, so the accommodations won't reveal the group's full size.
A lookout is stationed near the entrance, ready to alert the gang with a bird whistle at the first sign of trouble.
Expect substantial loot in the cave—these bandits are skilled at what they do.
