Notice Board | Map Layering Demo
Added 2022-11-20 19:12:13 +0000 UTCSo I have been doing some work behind the scenes to figure out how to make some fun things happen. I wanted to share a sample of it with you to gather feedback.
I have mentioned this in the past, but to quickly summarize. I know some people would prefer to have things like roofs, building floors, vehicles, and other optional/moveable/layered things be separate objects with transparent backgrounds. That way you can manipulate them individually on top of the battlemap in your VTT. This can cut down on having to transition between maps, or allow for more complicated and dynamic scenes for players.

What are your thoughts? Are there specific things you think this would help you with? Any and all suggestions are welcome and even more so, needed. I want to make sure the content I am producing is useful for all of you!
A couple things I'm considering out the gate is to start doing this with building floors, and to go back and create versions of our naval ships in this way.
These will likely be considered map variants when released.
