i know I'm late but I just recently became a patron. First thing I want to say: I think getting eaten by monitor lizards is like the best thing that could happen to someone who is already dead Second thing: with proper cooling and if not for extremely long a body can be kept looking okay without any preservatives. We had my mothers body on a cooling kind of plate next to an airco in our house for the six days between her death and the funeral and while she started to look more dead on the last day we still could have had an open coffin (we didn't, because everyone who wanted to see her one last time had already done so). It would've been even easier if she had been at a morgue with proffessional cooling systems
