No Video This Week

Hey friends,

Sadly I have to let you guys know there will be no video this week. The last few weeks have been incredibly challenging and our household has been dealing with a medical emergency.

Over the past 2 weeks my wife has had to make 3 trips to the ER, in addition to multiple trips to the hospital for tests, as well as an overnight stay. I know people will be curious so I will say that no, she did not get Covid-19. However she was tested for it as some of her symptoms were red flags (chest pain, headaches, fever, trouble breathing). Because she is immuno compromised this was a very scary period. Luckily she tested negative for that virus, and this seemed to be a result of her chronic disease. She seems to be past the worst of it and is doing considerably better than she was two weeks ago, but we are still waiting on some tests and she still has a few appointments scheduled for follow ups with various specialists.

This would already be a stressful situation, but dealing with it during a pandemic when we've been very isolated from friends and family help (due to her condition putting her at higher risk), and the fact daycares and schools are closed has made this exceptionally challenging.

I made the tough decision to put some of the channel work on hold during this time. That means no video this week. The good news is that I typically produce videos 2-3 weeks before they're public, so this means the missed video is the result of what happened 2 weeks ago and I am able to write this message in a period of a bit of relief and not during the actual emergency.

I will be back with a video next week and it will be a bit of a treat. Since I was unable to build something I reached out to a bunch of friends for help and I'll be editing something pretty special. After that I am hopeful it will be back to business as usual, barring the medical situation taking a turn for the worse.

Hope you understand, and I hope you are all staying sane and healthy. I realize that despite how scary and difficult the past few weeks have been for my family that there are countless people dealing with far worse right now. I am thankful that it has not been more serious and that I have the support of such a wonderful community.
