Big Important Post

Hi Patrons!

I need to be honest about this and its been stressing me out to no end, but I'm gonna put this on the table.

This month, I had a huge mental crash and burn out. Probably the worst I've ever had as an artist. Not only mentally, but physically too. Working as an artist I've worked non-stop since the beginning of the year doing commissions and artwork and drawing for other people, sacrificing any time to myself. As this is my full time job, I manage other work on the side as well. And now that's all finally caught up to me to the point I've had to stop for the sake of my health.  Personally, I got to a point where not only my brain decided 'nope' but I've had enough of drawing in general and I've been at a level where I've had to just put down my pen, and take a huge break away from the computer. The thought of even picking up a pen and drawing right now makes me feel stressed/exhausted.

I love art and drawing, so I do sorely miss doing it, but this has worn me down so badly that my brain basically broke, as you can imagine. I've needed to rest and avoid my computer. My life has progressed forward outside of the internet as well, so while I've been taking a rest to recover, I've had other priorities to focus on (such as wedding planning).

Now, due to this, I'm more than happy to refund those that have pledged. I've kept people waiting unfairly for a while now due to taking on too much (resulting in this huge burn out) and I'm not going to keep you waiting anymore because that's just completely unfair. I never wanted it to come to this so it's my fault entirely, and I know I don't have it in me right now to finish up all the pictures/comics I owe right now in time, so it's only right that you get your pledges back. So, if you would like a refund for what you are missing from me, I will do that happily. Please be vocal and talk to me if you are not happy about anything, and I will make sure that you are refunded properly.  

Of course, I will complete everything I owe but I just ask that you continue to be patient with me while I get through it. Once those are done, I will be making modifications/changes to my rewards. So with what I have pending, that will be all that I will draw, and the rest owed will be refunded.

I will be figuring out a new approach, one that I can manage much more efficiently that is not only just fair to my patrons, but to me as well. One that I can manage better that won't burn me out. What I mean by this is instead of posting my monthly comic in  9 full pages per month, I would post it gradually instead. For example, a certain no. of pages released per month instead of a full issue. This would give me more flexibility and reduce stress levels and pressure to have a full HD comic done in four weeks, which is hard for me to do as I am a very slow drawer (I focus on high quality rather than speed).

As you can imagine, working on multiple commissions, pledge comics, my personal comics and cell-shaded pieces on top of that to have completed within one month has been a little too much for me to handle and I simply cannot get everything done in one month. I put a lot of work into everything I do, so my only other option if I want to keep doing that is to lower the quality of my work drastically, which I'd rather not do. However, f you are okay with lower quality drawings then I could work around this. So instead of clean cell shading, it would be more sketchy/rough but still have colour.

So the bottom line is:

- Current pending requests/ideas in the $30 tier and $10 tier will be completed, you can be refunded for those and remaining owed rewards. Once those are done, I will modifity these tiers to something more workable that will reduce stress for me and ensure this won't happen again!

- Monthly comics under the $2 tier won't be a full issue per month (9 pages) instead it will be a set no of pages released per month. So that gives me more time to work on other personal fan comics I want to do as well and balances things out.

Besides this, I will continue to figure out more efficient ideas for my tiers, including possibly streaming too!

Thank you for supporting me. I know this has been a big post and I more than understand if you are unhappy with me, but I just want to keep my Patron's happy as well as make things fair for me at the same time too.
