2023-11-09 02:24:24 +0000 UTCOya, this is a Crying Movie. Judaism is big on the "memory" memorial, but in a different way. Instead of keeping pictures or having graveside rituals, it's LIVING memory. There's no shrine or graveside holiday traditions beyond anniversary mourning and prayer (Of course, people still keep pictures for normal memory). Children are often named after a recently deceased ancestor, and stories are retold to keep their experiences in the living memory (Which was also the point of the memory in "Coco". Not just facts and names, but remembering PEOPLE). One of the most common sayings for mourning somebody who has recently passed is "May their memory be a blessing". Believing that their example and the impression they left on the world will lead people to continue to do good.

2023-10-27 02:26:35 +0000 UTCI had one Tradition before my Grandma Died.. Every Birthday, were dancing the "Birds Song".. (as a young kid) Now she's Gone (about 15 Years now).. and missing her very much, and the dance too. ❤❤❤ Ray.
