ok so she did! I wasn't sure if the...dome? was getting the ppl that shot at him only and so I got worried for her but it looks like it only took that other guy. and ok thanks, yeah my money brain wouldn't get anything happening there man, I might as well have been drooling in the final scene lmao

I don't hold it against her -- all she's seen of Holden recently is manic gibbering, without even an explanation that he's ben talking to a vision of Miller -- but it shows that she meant what she said when talking to her CO earlier. When she's here, she's here. The brief overheard line where Holden mentions "monkeys and microwaves" is a callback to a longer conversation in the novel. Miller tries to explain what's going on by comparing it to a monkey trying to understand a microwave. The monkey might see the door and think it's a good place to hide something, or it might see the light that comes on and think it's a lamp, or it might think it's a dangerous weapon if it's inside when it turns on. But even though those are all technically accurate, it never UNDERSTANDS what it is. That's Holden and humanity as a whole right now trying to understand what's going on here.
