2023-06-21 04:13:47 +0000 UTCI am so happy you are reacting to Buffy! It is a show which holds a very special place in my heart. Please do not be discouraged by some of the quibbles you had. This show has a lot of quirks and some flaws early on but it grows into a story that can rival and (in my opinion) even exceed Harry Potter in terms of quality and beauty.

2023-06-18 02:22:13 +0000 UTCI am not going to lie. Season 1 is umph..not great, in my humble opinion. If you are tempted to quick the show, then the only episodes you need to watch, and they are the better episodes, are 1,2,7, and 10--with a shout out to 3. Season 2 is when they hit there groove and this becomes a show that is pretty high up on all top 100 lists, still to this day, and tops a few of them. Buffy was so ahead of its' time. Characters get developed and naturally change, lore gets established, consequences are real. It is truly amazing. But season 1...was a struggle for me at least.
